On April 14, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln sat down for a traditional American meal. He enjoyed roast Virginia fowl with chestnut stuffing, baked yams, and cauliflower smothered in cheese sauce. Shortly thereafter he would leave for an ill-fated night at the theater.

Backstage other members of Guns N' Roses and Nirvana got involved in the feud. Bassist Duff McKagan confronted Krist Novoselic but before anything got physical, security got involved. McKagan and guitarist Gilby Clarke shook one of Nirvana's trailers where Kurt's baby, Francis Bean was in.
Despite Rose pledging himself as a fan of the iconic grunge band, the feeling was not mutual on Cobain's end. “We're not your typical Guns N' Roses type of band that has absolutely nothing to say,” he allegedly said in a 1991 interview with Seconds magazine (quote via Rolling Stone).

Sharp and I talk about what Nirvana might have made of a place like this. It all goes back to a very special dog belonging to Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln always had a fondness for animals, and it has been speculated that he relied on his pets to help get him through periodic bouts of depression. The name Fido came from the Latin word "fidelity" and suited Lincoln's favorite dog perfectly.
Lincoln was also partial to popular music and sentimental ballads, such as the songs of Stephen Foster. One of his favorites was an old Scottish love ballad called "Annie Laurie." Remarkably, No. 1 on Lincoln's iPod might have been his all-time favorite, "Dixie."
