One of the reasons Anakin was such a good duelist was the combination of his Force powers and his chosen lightsaber style -- Form V, Djem So. It was a form associated with power, aggression and counter-strikes.
However, Anakin Skywalker later commented that all Jedi could enhance their strength with the Force and thus make use of Form V. Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker initially employed Shien in his duel against the Sith Lord Dooku on the planet Geonosis, although he later employed Form IV while wielding two blades.
Anakin used the form 5, it's known a the Way of The Krayt Dragon. Form 5, also known by its two primary disciplines of Shien and Djem So, is the offensive version of form 3 and relies on strength.
After his defeat in the Duel on Mustafar, Vader himself studied Form VII and became versed in it, at times applying elements of Juyo as part of his customized variant of Form V, employing some of its techniques when he killed the resistance fighter, Roan Lands, who was a good friend of the former Jedi Ferus Olin.
Like every lightsaber of the Jedi Order, Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber was powered by a kyber crystal in the core of the hilt. As with his previous lightsaber, the new one emitted a blue high-energy plasma blade due to the crystal's connection with its first owner.
Skywalker lightsaber
After dueling his former apprentice on Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin's lightsaber and kept it on Tatooine for nearly two decades. He gave it to Luke Skywalker, who lost it when Darth Vader struck off his son's hand in Cloud City.
Why is Luke's lightsaber green when Anakin's was blue? Luke Skywalker's lightsaber was changed from blue to green when they were filming because it was difficult to see. This became apparent during act one of Return of the Jedi when the battle on Jabba the Hutt's sail barge was shot during the day.
Vader held respect for Tarkin which is clearly shown and the only case in which Tarkin outranked Vader would be the case in which Vader was in the Death Star or within Tarkin's Oversector which he likely was as Tarkin was Grand Moff of the Outer Rim Oversector, the largest one.
Obi-Wan Kenobi used Form III.
Kylo Ren's Lightsaber Form
The evidence isn't entirely clear, but it is most likely that he was an adherent of Form V, particularly the Djem So variant. Ren's fierce fighting style has the hallmarks of Djem So, which demands a high degree of speed and strength to execute a flurry of attacks and counterattacks.
An example of a Jedi swordmaster was Mace Windu, considered as such because he was a master of all forms of lightsaber combat and due to his mastery of Vaapad, which he created.
It could be used to combine double-bladed lightsaber combat with other Force abilities, like pushes and lifts. Darth Maul had mastered this form and employed it in his duel against Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Theed power generator.
Notable practitioners
Other than Lucien Draay, Meetra Surik, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Kit Fisto, Shii-Cho had many advanced and/or specialist practitioners. In more recent years, the form was mastered by the Jedi swordmaster Cin Drallig along with the other six forms.
Practitioners of Form V included Jedi Masters Aayla Secura, Adi Gallia, Plo Koon and Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Ulic Qel-Droma, and Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Bane.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was highly skilled in Form III. Over the course of the Clone Wars, Kenobi continued to develop his skills.
There are 7 forms of lightsaber combat, but Soreso, Shein, and Vaapad are the most effective. Soreso, Vaapad, Shein, are the most effective forms because they are all strategic and have their strengths and weaknesses. But the thing they all have in is that you must fully commit to the form.
Mace specialized in the seventh form of lightsaber combat, AKA Juyo or Vaapad. Windu was the only known practitioner of this form that didn't fall to the Dark Side, mainly because the style calls for an aggressive, unpredictable approach (much like Maul's, just less jumping around).
Through the Force, Yoda was considered to have mastered Form IV to its highest level. He used it in almost all of his battles, and his mastery of the style caused others to describe him as virtually unstoppable against most opponents, including Separatist battle droids, despite his small size and advanced age.
1/15 Luke Skywalker
Having faced his father once before, Luke was familiar with his tactics and used the force to gain an upper-hand. In Star Wars Canon, only Luke Skywalker can be acknowledged as the one who truly defeated Darth Vader.
Because he was not an active member of the Jedi Order during Order 66, Infil'a escaped execution. Some time later, he faced the Sith Lord Darth Vader wielding a green lightsaber. Infil'a put up a fierce fight against Vader, almost killing him by throwing the Sith Lord off of a cliff.
Admiral Ozzel : [appearing onscreen with Captain Piett] Lord Vader, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed and we're preparing to... Darth Vader : You have failed me for the last time, Admiral! Captain Piett?
The weapon had a kyber crystal at its heart, and emitted a yellow-colored plasma blade when ignited. The emitter matrix on Rey's weapon featured a rotating gear-like mechanism, which caused the emitter of the lightsaber to open up and allow the plasma blade through.
It's possible that Rey adopted the yellow-bladed lightsaber (or perhaps the kyber crystal conjured a yellow blade based on the changes within its wielder) in honor of those emotionally detached sentinels tasked with guarding the Jedi Order.
