His father's last words to him were “get a job.” He tells Ruby that she didn't even know his father. But Ruby knows something that Eddie doesn't know. With the tip of her parasol, Ruby draws a circle in the snow. Eddie looks down into the circle as though his eyes are falling through a hole.
Eddie didn't know the "whole" story about his father's death until Ruby told him. Father's last act was speaking his son's name.
He dies in Dustin's arms after sacrificing himself to save his friends and finally redeeming himself as a hero, for not running away. The scene was gut-wrenching enough and fans cannot forget it, whether they want to or not. The kicker of it all? Eddie's final words to Dustin: "I love you, man."
Eddie's third lesson is to let go of anger and forgive his father. He finds himself back in the diner where he saw his father. He tells him that he forgives him by saying "it's fixed" (144).
That was the last time his father ever spoke to him. On Eddie's thirty-third birthday, Eddie's mom called him to tell him that his father had collapsed and gone to the hospital. He eventually died of pneumonia after coming home drunk and wet from the ocean. Eddie was disappointed in his father's unheroic death.
After the death of Eddie's father, he secretly cursed him, for how he had treated Eddie and how Eddie was forced to take over his job at the pier.
Eddie was angry. He cursed his father for dying and trapping him in this life he'd always wanted to escape. Ruby asks Eddie if the pier was really as terrible as Eddie always thought. Eddie tries to explain that he was stuck in a life he didn't choose, a life just like his father's.
Eddie's father dies from pneumonia, which he caught while saving his friend Mickey Shea during an ocean storm. He represents extreme male aggression and toughness.
Eddie asks Tala if she knows if he was able to save the little girl before his death. Tala tells him he did manage to push her out of the way. In this way, Tala explains, he also managed to atone every day for her unnecessary death.
And Eddie wants to say something, and he dies in the middle of his sentence. He says, "Richie, I..." And then goes. It was two different ways of solving the scene.
Eddie's death in Stranger Things 4 is neither noble nor necessary. Instead, it falls into the harmful tradition of ultimately punishing Othered characters for their Otherness and denying them the life and catharsis they deserve. In media, Othered characters are often disposable.
Eddie is May's soul mate. They have a passionate attraction and magnetic feeling for each other that can be full of love or hate for one another. May will always be a part of Eddie and he knows that but is dealing with the fact that May, a mirror to his self Is not the right one for him anymore.
He feels a sense of peace as he floats above the boardwalk. He then comes to the big Ferris wheel, where Marguerite is sitting and waiting for him. Eddie hears the voice of God say: “Home.” Eddie finally achieves peace once he understands his purpose as well as his pain.
After violently grabbing his crying wife and jerking her around, Eddie's father runs after Mickey and into the storm. He finds Mickey at the ocean, and the two men fall into the tide fighting. The water catches Mickey, and Eddie's father decides to rescue him. He pulls Mickey to safety.
Notes. Marguerite teaches Eddie his fourth lesson which is the power of love. She tells Eddie that although people may eventually pass away, their love will endure even after their death. Although her life ended before Eddies, her love for him endured and will continue to forever.
How does Eddie's father damage his son? He neglected them, he physically abused them and he refused to speak to Eddie in later years.
The people Eddie meets are- the Blue Man, the Captain, Ruby, his wife Marguerite, and Tala(read the book to know their stories). Surprisingly, out of all these five people, it is Tala- a young girl, who Eddie meets for the first time(in heaven, no less!), who had the most profound impact on him.
After a few months of living together, Shannon made a surprise announcement that she was possibly pregnant to Eddie, but it turned out she was just late. The incident caused her to evaluate her life, and confess to Eddie she wanted a divorce.
This drove Frank into a jealous rage, leading him to use half of Eddie's brain to create Rocky. It is inferred Frank then places Eddie in the freezer to keep him on ice in case the other half of his brain was needed - explaining Eddie's emergence from the appliance as The Rocky Horror Picture Show progresses.
Cassandra Sutton is Eddie's mother. Eddie told the kids she was killed in an accident, however, they soon learn that she was actually killed by a group of gang members with Ruben being the shooter. Johnny Nightingale (Gus Hoffman) is Tay's best friend throughout seasons one through three.
Sadly, Eddie never had the chance, dying in a moment that could be questioned as a sacrifice in general. Instead, it seems like he was killed for potential shock value or to show that someone who was not the main character did not survive the battle against Vecna.
Unfortunately, Eddie is a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy with his own mother as the abuser. This means Mrs. Kaspbrak has been faking all of Eddie's illnesses in order to have unlimited control over him.
Gina (Christina Moses) overhears Eddie and Delilah's conversation and thus knows Eddie is Charlotte's real father. And Gary and Rome (Romany Malco) found out earlier because Gary admitted he'd taken Jon to get a vasectomy years ago.
