Lightwhip (Lady Githany and Lumiya)
Without a doubt, the weirdest weapon on this list, the Lightsaber Whip (AKA 'Lightwhip'), straddles the lines between ridiculous, ingenious, and terrifying. While seldom seen in canon, the Lightwhip saw several uses in Legends.
The rarest lightsaber color is black and is known as a Darksaber. Tarre Vizsla created it – the first Mandalorian ever inducted into the Jedi order.
The Forbidden Forms were forms of lightsaber combat used by the Sith during the Sith Wars. According to the testimonies of the Jedi Cervil the Uncanny, lightwhips—a lightsaber variant with a flexible blade—were used to defend against Sith Lords who utilized the forms.
White lightsabers are some of the rarest and most powerful in the galaxy. Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Padawan, acquired two white lightsabers after defeating an Inquisitor. These weapons are incredibly rare and difficult to come by. White lightsabers are a sign of great power and strength.
Properties. Kathracite crystals were the weakest of the Adegan crystrals and often used to create training lightsabers for the younglings who were apart of the Jedi Order.
The Firebrand was a basic design of lightsaber hilt that was used by Jedi Initiates as well as Knights of the New Jedi Order as of 14 ABY. An all black hilt, it was known to have a stable grip and was equipped with a thin deflector ring to protect the wielder from energy backlash.
Red. The color of evil. Those who go down the dark path, mostly notably the Sith, can't form the same relationship with kyber crystals as Jedi, so they must steal them or take them from slain followers of the light.
Beskar. The most well-known example of a lightsaber-resistant material, beskar is inexorably tied to Mandalorian culture.
History. Asajj Ventress and Ahsoka Tano were two notable practitioners of Jar'Kai, preferring to use two lightsabers as opposed to one.
The Sith apprentice Darth Maul wielded a double-bladed lightsaber made by joining two hilts together end-to-end. Maul's dexterity and extensive training allowed him to use his weapon as a single-bladed saber, or to activate both crimson blades and fight multiple opponents at once.
As a Padawan, Ahsoka Tano used a green-bladed lightsaber, often wielding it in a non-standard reverse grip. Under the tutelage of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka became a skilled duelist, and built a second green-bladed lightsaber with a shorter, shoto-style blade.
Affiliation. Form IV, also known as Ataru, the Way of the Hawk-Bat, or The Aggression Form, was the fourth of the seven forms of lightsaber combat. The history of Ataru stretched back through the Old Republic, to at least as early as the Mandalorian Wars, where it was commonly employed by Jedi of that day.
Form I, also known as Shii-Cho, The Way of the Sarlacc, or The Determination Form, was the oldest and most rudimentary form of lightsaber combat developed by the Jedi Order and was taught to all members of the Jedi Order.
“A lightsaber will cut through anything,” Jackson says without hesitation. “Vibranium also.” So there you have it.
The blade has even been used as a tool to weld metal. Other times, the lightsaber has been shown to cause bleeding wounds in the flesh, sometimes accompanied by burns.
Description. Bleeding was accomplished by pouring rage, hate, fear and pain into a kyber crystal by means of the dark side of the Force, until the crystal changed, resulting in the crimson-bladed lightsabers associated almost exclusively with dark side adepts.
The Solari crystal was one of the oldest and most powerful lightsaber crystals of the Jedi Order.
Rey's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber that was constructed by the Jedi Rey Skywalker following the First Order-Resistance War.
Cal Kestis' second lightsaber first appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Although the canon color of the weapon's blade is blue, its kyber crystal can be customized with the other possible colors of green, orange, purple, yellow, indigo, cyan, and magenta.
A Jedi does not act for personal power or wealth but seeks knowledge and enlightenment. A Jedi never acts from hatred, anger, fear, or aggression but acts when calm and at peace with the Force. Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy. Jedi use the powers to defend and to protect, never to attack others.
The first Dark Jedi was believed to be Xendor, who was the first member of the Jedi Order to fall. Other forerunners included Ajunta Pall and others who, after the Hundred-Year Darkness, were exiled from Galactic Republic space and became the ancient progenitors of the Sith Lords.
