In the final moments of the film, a gravely wounded Rengoku tells a tearful Tanjiro “If you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough, set your heart ablaze.
This was further accentuated during his death where his final words for his father and his little brother were "take care of your body" and "follow your dreams no matter what".
Kyojuro tells Tanjiro to live with his head held high and that he shouldn't worry about him dying here, since it's only natural for a Hashira to give his life protecting his junior.
Rengoku is the first among the pillars to seriously mentor Tanjiro. Meeting Rengoku, and also witnessing his death is a turning point of the series for Tanjiro as it sets him on the path to learning the sun breath.
One day Tanjiro calls him out, “Rengoku-san, are you deaf!?”

Giyu Tomioka Fulfilled His Promise to Protect Tanjiro
The Water Hashira, Giyu, survived the "Infinity Castle" arc after fighting beside Tanjiro against Akaza and Muzan. Though his sword was snapped by Akaza, and he lost an arm to Muzan, Giyu fought with Tanjiro and his fellow Hashira with everything he had.
Ruka Rengoku ( 煉 れん 獄 ごく 瑠 る 火 か , Rengoku Ruka?) was the wife of Shinjuro Rengoku, and the mother of Kyojuro Rengoku and Senjuro Rengoku.
Being the flashy and flamboyant man that he is, Tengen has become one of the best and most memorable characters in Demon Slayer. He had a rough start when meeting Tanjiro as Tengen was one of the Hashira that thought he and Nezuko should be executed, but the two of them have come to respect each other.
Rengoku will be dreaming with his family — his father and his brother. While he's remembering past times, a young girl will be looking for Rengoku's spiritual core. She will find it, but as she is about to destroy it, Rengoku will choke her, unconsciously, in the real world.
He mocked the other styles as "cheap imitations" of Sun Breathing and accused Tanjiro of coming to their residence to mock them for his superiority, after recognising his Hanafuda earrings.
During that instance, Tanjiro began to call Akaza a coward for trying to escape while insulting Kyojuro claiming that he was the true winner of the battle.
1 Kyojuro 'Flame Pillar' Rengoku
Originally, while sad, his death didn't hit quite as hard in the manga, simply because it was a picture on a page, with no movement, sound, or anything else added to it. But now that this moment has been gorgeously recreated in a full-budget movie, it hits so much harder.

This feeling of survivor's guilt strikes again when he believes Tanjiro has died after the fight against Muzan. Giyu, while he sheds tears, admits how he is always the one who is saved.
Giyu would still instruct Tanjiro to train to become a Demon Slayer with Urokodaki. As there is no Nezuko, Tanjiro would have no reason to pity demons, and he'll be much more harsh that he would be if Nezuko was alive.
When Giyu later hears about Shinobu's death, he suddenly recalls her smiling face while being visibly shocked and upset by the news. This contrasts to his reaction to death of his other fellow Demon Slayers such as Kyojuro Rengoku, Muichiro Tokito and Genya Shinazugawa, whom he didn't react to as emotionally.
Demon Slayer has peculiar characters with incredible strength, skill, and presence.
