At the Australian animal zoo in Marineland Melanesia, on Green Island, there is a saltwater crocodile called Cassius, which is now the largest crocodile kept in a zoo anywhere in the world.

Acco is Australia Zoo's largest croc, measuring 16ft long (five metres) and weighing approximately a tonne. Because of his cunning nature and intelligence, it took Steve almost two years to catch Acco and remove him from a property where he was under threat of being shot.
The largest one ever officially measured was Lolong, who was a saltwater crocodile that measured 20 feet three inches long and weighed 2,370 pounds. Unfortunately, he died of congestive heart failure in February 2013. The largest crocodile alive is Cassius who is over 100 years old.
The Nile crocodile is the largest crocodilian in Africa, and is generally considered the second-largest crocodilian after the saltwater crocodile.
Graham is a male saltwater crocodile at Australia Zoo. He measures at 3.7m (11.84 ft) and weighs 350kg (770 lbs). Graham was caught at Townsville in north Queensland by Steve Irwin in 1988.
The beloved and entertaining crocodile, who was more than 4.75 metres long and tipped the scales at about 500kg, had started refusing to eat and keepers had been monitoring him.

Cassius is aged about 100, is the largest crocodile that has ever been caught alive in Australia, and is thought to be a man-eater. He was brought about 3,200 km (1.988 miles) from Australia's Northern Territory to Green Island in 1987, by truck.
A crocodile called Dynamo escaped from its Townsville enclosure before being recaptured. The incident shut down Billabong Sanctuary for several hours. Staff have replaced a gate that was destroyed by the crocodile during the escape.
