Blonde is Crowned the Sexiest Hair Colour of 2021!
The second sexiest hair colour is brunette, as more than three quarters of people (28.5%) voted this shade.
A third of all men in the poll found brown hair to be the most attractive; 28.6% said they prefer black hair. That means of the total polled, 59.7% said they prefer women with dark hair. When it came to women with other hair colors (yeah, hello!) 29.5% of men preferred blondes and 8.8% of men preferred redheads.
Brunette was clearly the hair color perceived as most attractive, with blonde as the second most attractive, and red as the least attractive. Figure 1 summarizes these results.
A general observation across experiments was that straight hair was perceived as younger, healthier, and more attractive than wavy hair and darker shades (medium copper and brown) were perceived more positively than blonde hair.
And while the results did vary, in the end we found that 58% of the fellas agreed that curlier is sexier.
The two rarest hair types are type 1a hair and coily hair.
Interestingly, other research has shown that men find women with lighter hair to have more positive perceptions in terms of relationship and parenting potential. Women, on the other hand, care more about overall appearance and dress size, which generally leads to darker hair being preferred by women.
Guéguen cites previous research which found over 80 percent of those surveyed express a dislike for people with red hair.
The rarest natural hair colour is red, which makes up only one to two percent of the global population. You commonly see these hair colours in western and northern areas of Europe, especially Scotland and Ireland. However, natural redheads may not exist for much longer.
While men were 1.4 times more likely than women to wish their partner had a different eye color, both genders favored blue eyes. Surprisingly, green, brown, and hazel were more preferred on a partner than gray eyes which respondents had previously considered the most attractive.
Numerous studies point to brunette hair being more attractive. Take this 2011 study from dating app Badoo, for example. A couple of thousand UK men were polled and 33.1% of them revealed they found brunettes more attractive than blondes.
First and definitely the hardest by far is GREY & SILVER!!!! This colour is definitely the trickiest on any level. This includes platinum or white, and any silvers or grey, even dark slate grey. For a start, its HARD to achieve as you have to get almost white blonde for any silver.
