2 Weeks Post Eyelid Surgery
The two week's break gives you plenty of time to rest and recover. Avoid straining your eyes excessively for at least a month post-surgery; reading, watching TV/Phone can strain your eyes. Most patients can resume light activity two weeks post-surgery.
You may gently wash below your eyes with wipes or a soft washcloth. You can use dry shampoo for your hair. Once you can take full showers, you can wash your eyelids and shampoo your hair with mild products, such as baby shampoo.
Swelling typically appears shortly after surgery, peaks two to four days after the procedure, and then slowly subsides over the next few days. Some residual swelling may remain for several weeks, but this is typically minor and shouldn't interfere greatly with social commitments.

Walking is one of the best form of exercise after eyelid surgery. Walking in the initial phases of recovery can promote blood circulation, prevent blood clots and lead to a smoother recovery. It will give you a surge of energy as well.

Post surgical swelling of the eyelids always cause the eyes to appear more closed in the early post op phase. As the swelling subsides, they return to a more pleasing and youthful appearance.
You should begin gentle massage to the eyelids one week after surgery. This will help smooth any irregularities and areas of firmness. You may apply lotion to your hand to massage and/or you may use a vibrating massager.
Answer: Eyelash loss after blepharoplasty is very rare.
Patients will occasionally notice loss of eyelashes after blepharoplasty. As far as I know this is within the normal lifecycle of the hair shaft. The patient's are probably just more aware of the loss because of the recent surgery.
Do not drink alcohol for 10 days after eyelid surgery or while you are taking pain medication. Alcohol dilates the blood vessels and could increase bleeding.
Your vision may be blurry for some time after surgery. It typically returns to normal after two or three days. Full recovery takes about two to four weeks. During that time, you may have some bruising around your eyes.
On the day of surgery, place an ice pack over the surgical area for about 10 minutes every hour. Starting on the day after surgery, you can reduce the use of ice packs to 3-4 times each day. Continue using ice packs as needed to reduce swelling.

Two to three weeks after surgery, I suggest massaging vitamin E oil into the wound which helps with wound remodeling, followed by Aquaphor.
Kolstad recommends for his patients during the recovery period. He typically recommends massaging the incisions 10-14 days after surgery and continuing them until the scars have softened. In addition to the massaging exercises some patients benefit from steroid taping or steroid injections into the scar tissue.
The results of your blepharoplasty become more visible as side effects, like swelling and bruising, subside. Most patients love their outcomes and do not seek repeat treatments. While future aging may cause your eye bags to return, this ultimately depends on your age, skin condition, and lifestyle choices.
Don't rub your eyes or attempt to go swimming, work out vigorously or lift heavy objects. Keep your eyes covered from the sun and wind with dark, protective sunglasses. Do not attempt to wear contact lenses for the first few weeks after your surgery. Your doctor will tell you when it is okay.
