Season Six - Penny Finally Says I Love You.
"The 43 Peculiarity" is the eighth episode of the sixth season of the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
Listen to me, you are the one I'm with, you know I love you. So will you please relax because you're driving me crazy!” Penny tells a stunned Leonard as she quickly realizes what she just said and marking the first time she's ever told him as much.
Penny and Leonard started a relationship on the show's third season, which premiered in September 2009, before breaking up for the first time in April 2010. The characters hooked up again in May 2010.
"The Recombination Hypothesis" is the 100th episode of the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory and the 13th episode of the series' fifth season.
Leonard has proposed to Penny at least four times: he mentions that the third time was in skywriting, but she failed to look up.
On top of all this, he slept with Raj's sister Priya, despite knowing one of his so-called best friends was uncomfortable with the whole thing.
She often dates, and in one way or another all the men have gone to her for dating advice. In the fourth season opener, Sheldon estimates that Penny has dated 193 men, and had sex with 31 of them.
She tries to get him to acknowledge that they are almost the same age; however, he is 21 and she is 31.
According to the producers of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper isn't actually autistic. Although many people speculate that he might have autism or asperger's based on his behaviors, there's one person who can truly give a satisfying answer to that question: Mayim Bialik.
Raj asks Penny out on a date, but Penny tells him that having sex with him was a mistake and that she wishes to just remain friends. Raj reveals that the previous night, he had ejaculated prematurely; so the two did not technically actually have sex. She agrees not to tell anyone about this.
Season 12 of the show saw the couple conflicted about whether or not to have children, with Penny initially being against the idea, before becoming unexpectedly pregnant in the season finale. While the finale proved to be popular amongs fans, Cuoco wanted her character to remain childless.
In the series finale, Penny finds out that she is expecting a baby. Leonard was excited while Penny was terrified at first as she didn't wanted kids because she thought she would be a horrible mother, but after a while she became just as excited as Leonard is in her own way.
"Holy Crap On A Cracker!" This is one of Penny's go-to quotes that's rarely talked about. She says this whenever she's shocked about something.
"Traveling" to the future envisioned by Raj, Leonard and Penny broke up because of their successful careers. The pair argue what they would do if one were required to abandon a dream for the other's success.
Regardless, Penny's last name changed from "Teller" to "Hofstadter" towards the end of the series when she and Leonard got married.
He has a genius-level IQ of 187. (In The Big Bang Theory, it is said that his and Leonard's IQs add up to 360, and Leonard says his is 173. In Young Sheldon, his mother says that he has the same IQ as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.)
The Attraction Between Them
Likewise, Penny was sick of dating hot guys who continued to cheat on her. She wanted a normal and stable relationship, which is why she settled for her best friend Leonard. This could be why it took her years to tell Leonard she loved him.
Sheldon simply has to be the youngest of the group because he breezed his way through school, skipping multiple grades in the process. The series avoids addressing this by not giving the characters official ages. Howard Wolowitz is the only one whose age is revealed in season 2 when he's quoted as being 26 in 2008.
Penny, meanwhile, has an IQ of 97, as CBR reports. It's also worth noting that the show goes out of the way to display Penny as not very bright: “she was dense enough to think the Cold War was fought in winter” and “she didn't even know how to spell Asthma.”
In 2010, Smith joined the cast of comedy series The Big Bang Theory in a recurring role, portraying Penny's ingenuous ex-boyfriend, Zack Johnson. He continued to recur on the show until its 12th and final season in 2019 (S12E12 and S12E25).
Even the creators have not revealed Penny's maiden name. However, because of her marriage to Leonard Hofstadter, her last name at the end of the show was Hofstadter. After years of people pleading for the big reveal, it has been clarified that this was not a mistake.
Their first attempt at being a couple ended horribly, when Penny dumped Leonard very publicly at a bowling alley in the season three episode "The Wheaton Recurrence." Leonard had told her he loved her, and because she wasn't ready to say it back, Wil Wheaton (as himself) swooped in and manipulated her to break up with ...
Penny is Leonard's next-door neighbor (across the hall) and main love interest, and the teasing of romance between the two of them is a major force driving the series. In season 9, "The Gorilla Dissolution", they get engaged and married in Las Vegas.
During the season, Kaley Cuoco's character Penny was absent from episodes 5 and 6 after she fell off a horse and the horse broke her leg. When returning to the series, she was shown working as a bartender instead of waitressing at her usual workplace, The Cheesecake Factory, to hide her injury.
