Death. Aisha died at her home in Medina on 17 Ramadan 58 AH (16 July 678). She was 67 years old. Abu Hurairah led her funeral prayer after the tahajjud (night) prayer, and she was buried at Jannat al-Baqi'.
When the Prophet died in the room of Aisha, his companions deliberated about where he should be buried. Abu Bakr Siddiq said that he heard the Prophet say “Prophets are buried where they died,” so he was buried in the south of the Sacred Chamber. Aisha continued to live in the northern part of the chamber.

Abu Sufyan became “the best of Muslims” and “nothing bad was said about him”. Muhammad assigned him a pension of 100 wasqs from Khaybar. Three days before his death, Abu Sufyan dug his own grave in Al-Baqi Cemetery near the house of Aqil ibn Abi Talib.

Khadija is buried in the Jannatul Mualla cemetery in Makkah and Maymuna is buried 20 km north of Makkah at the location where she was married to the Prophet ﷺ. The wives buried in al-Baqi are as follows: Aisha bint Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. Sawda bint Zam'a.

Taking all known accounts and records of Aisha's age at marriage, estimates of her age range from nine to 19. Because of this, it is impossible to know with any certainty how old Aisha was.
Muhammad's wives were not allowed to remarry after his death, including Aisha who was only 18 at the time.
Prior to the Prophet's proposal to Ayesha, she was engaged to marry Jubayr ibn Mutim, who was an unbeliever at the time. The prohibition of marrying unbelievers was not issued yet. The Prophet's eldest daughter, Zaynab, was married to Abu Al-Aas who remained non-Muslim for many years.
