Powys in Wales has been crowned the best place for peace and quiet in a new study, thanks to its low traffic levels, tranquil countryside and lack of bustling towns.
Wales has taken the crown for being home to the quietest place in the whole of the UK: Powys, which is its largest county.
The UK's most relaxing cities have been revealed, based on sunshine, spirit, silence, and space. Coastal city Plymouth came out on top, followed by Southampton and Stoke-on-Trent in joint second place.
