As seen in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Yoda was on Kashyyyk helping the native Wookiees fight off the Separatists when Order 66 was issued.
After Order 66 and the declaration of the First Galactic Empire, Yoda returned to Dagobah, living simply amid its many creatures. While in exile, he learned the lessons Qui-Gon taught him, meditated on the Force, and waited for the arrival of a new apprentice, one who might one day restore the Jedi Order.
While Jedi such as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda are well-known survivors of Order 66, there are a few more that fans may not be aware made it through, although not all of them were able to stay hidden from Darth Vader and the Jedi hunter Inquisitors.
While Yoda sensed that the Sith's plan involved the Clones, it was too late to prevent Order 66. Instead, he placed his faith in the Force and allowed the dark events to happen.
After the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge in 19 BBY, Jedi Masters Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi infiltrated the Jedi Temple, which had fallen to the 501st Legion during the execution of Order 66, on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant.
Years later, Dooku left the Jedi Order, before falling to the dark side of the Force and becoming the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus, apprentice to Sidious.
A Star Wars Veteran Played The Role Of Grogu's Savior
So in a surprising turn of events, it turns out that the Jedi Master who ultimately escorted Grogu to safety was none other than Kelleran Beq – played by Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best.
Although his choice to help with the droid attack on the Wookiees seemed to be a prudent one in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Yoda's Kashyyyk mission was actually his worst mistake.
Originally known as Caleb Dume, Kanan Jarrus was the Jedi Padawan to Depa Bilaba during the Clone Wars. Thanks to the sacrifice of his master, Jarrus would survive Order 66 and go on to help form the Rebellion with the assistance of the crew of the starship, The Ghost.
Nearly all the surviving Jedi Knights were hunted down and killed by Darth Vader, while Order 66 remained in effect indefinitely among the ranks of the Galactic Empire's newly christened stormtroopers. Masters Kenobi and Yoda, like many others, chose to go into exile, on Tatooine and Dagobah respectively.
Order 67 was an order requiring clone troopers to dance. During the Battle of Utapau, Darth Sidious accidentally issued Order 67 when he meant to use Order 66. Just after the order was executed, Cody and his troops began dancing.
Though he saw Anakin's potential, Yoda could not ignore the danger inherent in Anakin's unrestrained emotional attachments. To teach Anakin responsibility, Yoda assigned Skywalker a Padawan learner: Ahsoka Tano. Yoda knew there would come a time when Anakin had to let go of Ahsoka.
So how many Jedi died during the attack? Almost 10,000—meaning that only 0.2% of Jedi survived.
Knowing that the Jedi Order were doomed to die, he had begun to prepare for that day and to live to fight another day, so that the Jedi Order would survive and rebuild in one way or another. To summarise: Master Yoda could not warn the other Jedi about Order 66 because he did not know about it until it happened.
When Supreme Chancellor Palpatine issued Order 66, Unduli was captured and taken into custody by the clones she'd once commanded. But Yoda escaped with the assistance of Tarfful and Chewbacca.
An in-universe reason for choosing Dagobah is the planet's connection to the dark side. Force-sensitive beings can feel each other's presence through the Force. Since Yoda's is such a light in the darkness, he neesd to hide in the darkest of places. Dagobah contains a dark side nexus.
Aayla continued to lead troops until the final days of the war. During a mission on the remote world of Felucia, Bly received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine. He and his troops opened fire on Aayla, killing her instantly.
Due to Skirata's influence and support for Darman, Omega Squad refused to follow Order 66. Another clone commando group, Yayax Squad, had a smaller role in the Republic Commando novels, and like Omega Squad, these clones disobeyed Order 66.
Order 99 is designed by Sidious, and its sole purpose is to contain or exterminate the Separatist Alliance if anything else failed. Once Order 99 has been commanded to the battle droids, their systems would restart, and then, all battle droids would open fire on any member of the Separatist Alliance.
Neither lightsabers nor the Force could help Yoda defeat Darth Sidious. Though Yoda was able to keep his adversary on his toes, he was unable to end the conflict, and their duel ended with no clear victor.
As powerful as Darth Sidious may have been, it's easy to forget he actually seemed afraid of Master Yoda. As seen in Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine initially thought he could deal with the aged Jedi Master - and then, when Yoda proved able to counter the Sith Lord's Force lightning, he fled.
Previous to this, Star Wars canon told us that Yoda's lightsaber had been destroyed. According to the Darth Vader comics, after Order 66 all of the lightsabers of the fallen Jedi were collected and then put into a furnace to be destroyed.
While fans don't know the state of Grogu's well-being in the sequel trilogy, his ties to Mandalore might explain why Kylo Ren doesn't kill him. It's likely Grogu stays with Din Djarin and the Mandalorians, and never returns to embark on his training with Luke.
More than anyone she understood the danger the Jedi faced that day. She also knew how few friends they had left on the planet. While we don't know the exact timeline of events in regards to Order 66, Padmé, and Grogu, she is the most likely person to have ordered the Naboo Royal Security Forces to help the Jedi.
Ahmed Best—who played Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequel trilogy—returned to the franchise as Jedi Knight Kelleran Beq on The Mandalorian. He was the previously unknown Jedi who ultimately rescued Grogu from Coruscant during Order 66.
