Physical Characteristics of Ectomorphs:
In addition to being tall, ectomorphs have a thin build, long limbs, small joints and thin bones. Many are flat-chested and don't carry much body mass in the trunk.
Hourglass frames
Hourglass silhouettes are coveted in beauty magazines and pop culture, but it's actually the least common body shape. Women with shoulders and hips that are about the same size have an hourglass figure if they also have a small, defined waist.
Mesomorphs. Naturally muscular, mesomorphs typically have moderate-size frames, with wider shoulders and a narrow waist, strong arms and legs, and modest amounts of body fat.
The hourglass body shape is the rarest body shape as it requires equal bust/shoulder and hip proportions with a dramatically smaller waist size.

One suggestion is that you measure the width of your hips and your shoulders: If your shoulders are narrower than your hips you are likely an ectomorph. If your shoulders are roughly the same width as your hips, you are likely a mesomorph. If your shoulders are wider than your hips, you are likely an endomorph.
The Hourglass.
Usually, women with the hourglass figure fall somewhere between mesomorphs and endomorphs, as they have the curves of an endomorph but maintain the thin waist of a mesomorph.

Considered to be the most attractive body shape, this is very similar to hourglass body shape, except that in this case the curves are more defined.
The specific proportions of 36–24–36 inches (90-60-90 centimeters) have frequently been given as the "hourglass" proportions for women since at least the 1960s (these measurements are, for example, the title of a hit instrumental by The Shadows).

These are the naturally slim body types which have the highest metabolic rates. These individuals are characterised by small bone structure, small shoulders, lean muscle mass, and flat chest. People with this body type find it extremely difficult to gain weight and have a faster metabolism.
The pear body shape is characterised by large hips which are wider than the bust and shoulders. This makes the body appear like a pear shape.
You know you have a straight body type if you have the same measurements for all sections of your body. This type of body shape is popularly known as the supermodel body. It is also called a rectangular or ruler body. Since it does not have a well-defined waistline, the body tends to look straight.
Spoon-shaped bodies are similar to a pear-shaped figure, with curvy hips, a larger butt, and a slimmer upper body, proportionally. The difference between the spoon and pear body shape is that a spoon-shaped body may have a larger tummy, too, while the pear shape typically doesn't.
