Countess Teresa "Tracy" di Vicenzo of On Her Majesty's Secret Service was played superbly by the late Dame Diana Rigg. Tracy is remembered fondly as one of Bond's best love interests for her memorable personality and arc, her abilities despite not being an agent, and her iconic death.
Vesper Lynd was a fictional HM Treasury liaison officer and love interest of James Bond. The official adaptation of the literary character who first appeared in Ian Fleming's 1953 novel, Casino Royale, the Bond girl appeared in the 2006 James Bond film of the same name, portrayed by French actress Eva Green.
As the former 007 reflects at Vesper's tomb, he retrieves a piece of paper from his pocket. Bond had written the words "I miss you," which he then sets on fire and tosses in front of Vesper's tomb. This significant moment confirms that Vesper was Bond's greatest love.
Many consider Vesper as the ultimate love for James, as these two were most definitely in love – something that's remarkable for Bond.
She's the only person he doesn't bewitch, the only person who cannot be charmed by what he stands for—she's here to do a job she's good at, and she's here to put him in his place.
Vesper Lynd may have betrayed James, but she clearly did care for him, and he clearly cared for her. The two of them navigating their secrets as well as their newfound feelings for each other ended badly for Vesper, but it also pushed James on to find out who Mr.
Vesper has a terrible secret, however – she is a double agent working for the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and worked with Bond only because she was ordered to lure him into a trap. (Her kidnapping was staged to lure Bond into Le Chiffre's clutches.)
#1: Sean Connery
Nobody could ever say, "Bond ... James Bond" quite as sexily as he did. It's no wonder producers asked him to come back and save the franchise in 1971 for the spy classic, Diamonds Are Forever.
Each betrayal was motivated by where Vesper Lynd believed her heart belonged most. She was placed in an impossible situation, or at least she felt she was. It was a battle of survival that eventually turned to protecting the person she loved most.
Casino Royale
Following the deaths of Le Chiffre and Vesper Lynd respectively, Bond was told by his superior M that Vesper has a boyfriend of French-Algerian descent named Yusef Kabira and that she was blackmailed by Mr. White into handing over the casino winnings to Quantum in exchange for Kabira's safety.
Ultimately, Vesper Is a Good Woman Broken By Evil
Bond derisively says she isn't his type; "Smart?" she asks.
Initially poised as a British Treasure agent bankrolling Bond's high-stakes game of poker with Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), Vesper turned out to be working with Mr. White, though ultimately she decided to try to save Bond through a risky maneuver that unfortunately led to her death.
There was a 17 year age gap between James Bond and Madeleine Swann, his love interest, this didn't work. The touchy-feely script was miserable and tedious.
James Bond Does Have a True Love
But that doesn't mean 007 doesn't know true love. In the 1969 film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Bond meets Teresa Di Vicenzo (played by Diana Rigg) when he prevents her from committing suicide and then covers her casino debts.
Skyfall beauty Berenice Marlohe has revealed that she had to coax Craig to remove his garments for a sex scene between the pair. The stunning actress said: 'He was very shy and when he saw me entering the shower he was like, "Oh my God."
Daniel Craig
The best-dressed James Bond, without question (don't @ us).
Daniel Craig is the incumbent Bond in the Eon series and has played the character five times, most recently in No Time to Die released in 2021. Connery and Moore have played the character the most times, appearing in seven films each (if Connery's non-Eon film portrayal in 1983's Never Say Never Again is counted).
The name's Nick, Nick Bennett – the James Bond superfan from Greater Manchester who owns the largest collection of 007 memorabilia in the world.
The only two other times a female co-star has been older than Bond were in the first two films, starring an unusually-young-for-Bond Connery. At the 1962 release of "Dr. No," Connery was 32, and Zena Marshall was 36. In the next year's "From Russia With Love," Eunice Gayson was 35 to Connery's 33.
As of 2013, there had been only two films in which James Bond falls in love with the Bond girl. The first was On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), in which Countess Tracy di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg) marries Bond but is shot dead by Irma Bunt and Ernst Stavro Blofeld at the story's end.
As far as I know in the movie "Casino Royale" (2006) James Bond found out that Vesper betrayed when she took gambling winnings to replace the money that had been gambled by Le Chiffre after Bond couldn't get the money in the bank and the manager said that the money was being withdrawn at that time.
In this film Vesper's personality differs drastically, with her being presented as far more evil and a straight villain, with her original backstory being removed completely in favour of her being a bitter ex spy with hedonistic and violent tendencies.
