The only house
Poor Harry certainly had his fair share of it over the years, and no one inspired more survivor's guilt in him than Hufflepuff Cedric Diggory. We pose that Cedric's death is the main reason Harry never wanted to visit Hufflepuff.
In the last Harry Potter book, Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem plays an integral part in the plot and Harry actually goes to the Ravenclaw common room to look at the statue of this particular Hogwarts founder.
The Hufflepuff common room was the only common room that Harry Potter did not enter at some point, as J. K. Rowling never found a valid reason for him doing so in the story.
While the other houses seem cool and invite a certain allure, Hufflepuff is a little different. Often considered the least desirable of all the sorting options, here are some reasons why Hufflepuff house is the worst.
1. Gryffindor – Brave and competitive. 2. Ravenclaw – Smart and clever.
Out of the four, here's why Hufflepuff is the worst Hogwarts house in Harry Potter. Founded by Rowena Ravenlaw, Helga Hufflepuff, Godric Gryffindor, and Salazar Slytherin, Hogwarts divides its students into these four houses based on their traits and attributes.
Slytherins and Hufflepuffs share a bond that is nothing short of being platonic soulmates. Hufflepuffs are the only ones patient enough to really get to know someone without any judgment. Since Slytherins are often on edge, they truly appreciate the safe space that Hufflepuffs create.
While plenty of respondents were sorted into Gryffindor (Harry Potter's House) or Slytherin (home to many of the books' budding villains), a majority were in either Ravenclaw (home to the studious and industrious) or Hufflepuff (the House of humility and diversity).
These two could take over the wizarding world. As with any great love, though, the feelings must be mutual. When Ravenclaw-Slytherin love is unrequited on one side, the ensuing power struggle can be pretty unpleasant – just ask Helena Ravenclaw.
All in all, a relationship between a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw is a delicate balancing act that requires compromise. If they can learn to navigate one another's needs and goals, however, they'll be a power couple the likes of which Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston could only dream of.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.
Harry Potter came very close to being sorted into Slytherin before he persuaded the Hat to sort him into Gryffindor. Yet the spectre of Slytherin haunted him for some time afterwards, becoming particularly potent in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, when he was rumoured to be the heir of Slytherin.
He actually asked the Sorting Hat to place him in Hufflepuff, as he was intimidated by Gryffindor's reputation for bravery, but the Sorting Hat didn't agree. They debated it for so long, that he was close to being what is known as a Hatstall, which is a term for any student whose Sorting takes longer than five minutes.
She is perceptive
Ravenclaws are perceptive, and Luna noticed all kinds of things others didn't during her time at Hogwarts. There was that time she explained Ron in one sentence: 'He says very funny things sometimes, doesn't he?
Belonging to the Black family, Phineas is one of Slytherin's loveliest members. Taking a greater moral standpoint than his other family members, who mostly believe in pure-blood supremacy, this good-natured wizard has shown himself to be an especially well-behaved member of the otherwise unruly Hogwarts house.
And, naturally, J.K. Rowling herself is a Gryffindor.
Rowling revealed her house during a livestream in 2012.
Hogwarts' Sorting Hat famously placed Harry Potter in Gryffindor house after he chose it over Slytherin, but perhaps Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger chose their Gryffindor placements too.
If there's one house that's truly the least recognized, it must be Ravenclaw.
The best House in Hogwarts Legacy is Hufflepuff. Students belonging to this group are said to be undyingly loyal, hardworking, and fair. Not only that but in-game, Hufflepuff players are the only ones able to access Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy thanks to their House-exclusive side quest.
Zacharias Smith just gave Hufflepuffs a bad name in general. Every time we saw Zacharaias he was being a jerk. He constantly complained about everything and always had an attitude. Despite all of this, surprisingly, Zacharias still decided to become a member of Dumbledore's Army and stuck it out until the end.
Slytherins and Ravenclaws - Slytherins hate rules and Ravenclaws are ingenious. Together they can take over the world or create amazing spells. Or they can hate eachother with a fury and rage.
