Kourtney Kardashian's sad confession about how IVF has affected her brain. The reality star and husband Travis Barker have struggled with fertility for some time.
Kourtney goes on to admit IVF "took a toll" on her. "My health is still impacted because it's hormones, and mentally it definitely took a toll. I think being happy is what's important and being a good parent to my kids.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are giving up on in vitro fertilization – and leaving future family plans up to fate. “We are officially done with IVF,” Kardashian, 44, shared in a confessional during the Season 3 premiere of “The Kardashians” on Wednesday.
Khloe had to undergo three failed cycles of IVF only to be forced to abandon the eggs she once froze because they weren't strong enough to survive the defrosting process.
Eventually, they signed up for medical assistance but Kim Kardashian's IVF journey was not without its problems. While the reality TV star was able to conceive their first baby naturally even without trying, she underwent IVF followed by a difficult pregnancy during her second time.
After KKW Beauty founder suffered from placenta accreta during her first two pregnancies, the couple opted to hire a gestational carrier to expand their family.
Kardashian, 42, underwent the IVF process three times during her marriage to ex-husband Kanye West. She conceived nine-year-old North naturally and seven-year-old Saint via IVF. She said both pregnancies proved too high risk, so she had Chicago, five, and Psalm, three, with the help of a surrogate.

Well, according to a source, the use of a surrogate is down to “medical reasons: "There were medical reasons that factored into her decision to use a surrogate, but not putting such a strain on her body was a huge motivation", they told Heat Magazine.
"I had to stop because there was much deeper stuff that was happening in our marriage. I knew that it wasn't the right situation to bring a child into, and I think I've done a lot of covering up for him, like even when it made me look like I was the problem.
Placenta accreta occurs when blood vessels and other parts of the placenta grow too deeply into the uterine wall and remain attached. Though typically a woman's placenta is delivered following the birth of the baby, in the case of North, Kardashian West's placenta did not detach.
"It hasn't been the most amazing experience," she added in an episode of The Kardashians, revealing that IVF had put her "in to menopause". "The medication that they've been giving me, they put me into menopause. Literally into menopause," she told her mum, Kris Jenner.

During the episode, Kourtney was very candid about her experience with IVF, explaining that she had "seven frozen eggs from years ago, before Travis" but adding that, "Most of mine didn't survive the thaw. Freezing of eggs isn't guaranteed.
Kourtney breastfed all three of her children, without using any formula to supplement.

'You don't get more to carry a celebrity's child,' she said. 'That is actually the going rate. 'She may be a second-time surrogate, usually a first-time surrogate [gets] about $30,000 to $35,000. '
According to some sources while there are valid medical reasons as to why Khloé opted to have her second child via surrogacy, the 38-year-old social media sensation and founder of Good American apparel wanted to avoid “putting such a strain on her body.”
Khloé ended up with three embryos and 'a 60 percent chance each one would take'; her next step would be to get them tested for abnormalities.
They quickly became a power couple, and over the course of their 10-year relationship, West and Kardashian welcomed four children together: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
It's not the first time Kim has eaten her placenta – she also did it after the birth of her first child North West. Speaking on her blog, she says the pills give her a "surge of energy" and make her feel "really healthy and good".
“They were about to do a hysterectomy but they were able to get the placenta out just in time. I ended up needing five surgeries in the next year and half to internally fix the damage that was done, which was really crazy and really traumatic.”
Kardashian opted for surrogacy after previously suffering from pregnancy complications, including placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply in the uterine wall. Doctors advised that it would be unsafe for her to get pregnant again naturally.
