ESTJ. Practical, realistic, matter-of-fact. Decisive, quickly move to implement decisions. Organize projects and people to get things done, focus on getting results in the most efficient way possible.
If we dive a little deeper, we learn that authenticity is probably best associated with introverted (I) perceiving (P) types (i.e., “IPs”)—INFP, INTP, ISFP, ISTP—all of who use either Introverted Feeling (Fi) or Introverted Thinking (Ti) as their preferred function.
INFP (introversion, intuition, feeling, perception) is a four-letter abbreviation for one of the 16 personality types identified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.1 The INFP personality type is often described as an "idealist" or "mediator" personality.
INTPs are philosophical innovators, fascinated by logical analysis, systems, and design. They are preoccupied with theory, and search for the universal law behind everything they see.
NF personality types blend imagination with a nuanced view of humanity to come up with idealistic visions and dreams for the future. Imagining, conceptualizing, “daydreaming”, all these activities give INFPs and INFJs energy and a sense of being alive and free. “I have always had a vivid imagination.
INFP and INFJ: The Overthinkers
When it comes to these types, their anxiety can stem from an inclination to overthinking. Psychology Today defines overthinking as “an excessive tendency to monitor, evaluate, and attempt to control all types of thought,” something this INFJ knows all too well.
Nicknamed “The Mystic,” the INFJ is one of the rarest types in the Myers-Briggs® system. These types are known for their keen insights, warm empathy, and profound insight into human potential. Today we're going to explore twenty-four things that most INFJs will relate to.
The INFJ. The INFJ is one of the rarest and most misunderstood personality types. These types are often seen as mysterious, daydreamy, and even confusing.
According to the MBTI® Manual, INTJs are among the top two types for undergraduate grades. They are also one of two types with the highest first-semester college grades. They have the highest grades among persisters in college and of all the types, INTJs consistently have the highest IQ scores (MBTI® Manual, page 269).
ISTPs are the most unpredictable of the 16 personality types, because they're typically rational and logical, but can also be enthusiastic and spontaneous.
Which personality types are the nerdiest or most socially awkward? Popular opinion suggests that INTPs and INTJs are most apt to claim this not-so prestigious award.
According to the MBTI Manual, creativity correlates most strongly with intuition (N), as well as, to a lesser extent, perceiving (P). This suggests that NPs (i.e., the INTP, INFP, ENTP, & ENFP) are, on average, the most creative of all types.
ENTJ types are the most charismatic. They harness all of the intellectual and strategic weight of the others mentioned above but benefit from an extroverted personality, which allows them to connect more frequently and easily with the needs of others.
ENTJ. Of all the personality types, ENTJs are arguably the ones who care least about other people's opinions of them. This is not a personality type who sugarcoats things or cares what others think of them. They are decisive, assertive and extremely blunt.
INTPs are generally the most logical-minded of the personality types. They love patterns, are quick to notice discrepancies and have a strong ability to read people. They aren't typically interested in practical daily activities but instead enjoy environments where they can express creativity.
INFP, INFJ, ISFJ, ENFP and occasionally ISFP or ENFJ are usually stereotyped the “purest smol cinnamon rolls,” if that's what you mean by, “most innocent.” Which MBTI type is the hardest to indicate the correct personality type of a person?
Virtuoso (ISTP): Learning New Things Quickly
If any personality type is a fast learner, it's Virtuosos. This hands-on bunch gets right into the action of whatever they're studying, allowing them to learn new things fast.
ENFJs, more than many personality types, tend to enjoy school and the social atmosphere and learning opportunities within it.
In general, ESTP and ESFP personality types are the least likely to go to a four-year college after high school. And when they do, they're the least likely to persist after the first year.
INTJs often hide their vulnerable or emotional side behind a mask of stoicism. They are the types to let their behavior speak for them, rather than put their feelings into words.
Thanks to their blunt and serious mannerisms, INTJs are also one of the personality types most likely to be branded intimidating. Unlike charismatic ENTJs, INTJs tend to be reserved and distant.
ISTJ. Quiet, serious, earn success by thoroughness and dependability.
ENFP. When it comes to physical attractiveness, ENFPs lead the pack. According to Harrison, people with this personality type like to stay active and "tend to be very physical people." They're the ones who might suggest a hiking or salsa dancing date or getting up for an early morning yoga class.
ENFJ. One of the most positive Myers-Briggs types is the ENFJ, or those who are extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging. "Known for their optimism and upbeat personality, ENFJs are known for being fun to be around and for being idealist organizers who want to create a better way," Owens says.
ENTJs are often stereotyped as the ruthless, inconsiderate ladder-climbers of the personality community.
