Perceiving (P) personality types, particularly those who are also Intuitives (N), are often painted as the worst procrastinators.
ENTJs and ESTJs Tend to Procrastinate About Leisure Time and Reflecting on Their Own Feelings. ESTJs and ENTJs are extremely focused on productivity, achievement, and producing results. These types hate to dilly-dally when it comes to almost anything except managing their own emotions, feelings, and values.
ISFJs and ISTJs aren't usually procrastinators, but they still can struggle with it if they feel like they don't have enough information. They like to know all the details and facts and have a very clear, specific direction before they begin a project.
INFP and INFJ: The Overthinkers
We start off with INFPs and INFJs: two Introverted personalities that often experience bouts of anxiety. When it comes to these types, their anxiety can stem from an inclination to overthinking.
In my opinion, the tendency for delays is greater in the “P-tailed personality type” (perceiving) which tends to delay and procrastinate. The personality types which i mean based on MBTI and cognitive function theory. It is them: INTP, ISTP, INFP, ISFP, ENTP, ESTP, ENFP and ESFP.
ESFP personality types sometimes have trouble meeting deadlines, and do not always finish what they start. They can get easily distracted.
Some types, including ENTP, ENFP, ENFJ, and INFJ, were less likely to already have children, but expressed an interest in doing so in the future, indicating that these types may be more likely to start their families later in life.
They're probably ISFJs, who feel super uncomfortable with the prospect of hurting anyone's feelings. "They tend to be wallflowers and can sometimes stumble over their words," says Owens. They'll likely skip the inflammatory family dinner conversation—even if they're Zooming in from thousands of miles away.
Intuitive Thinking personality types are the most likely of all of the types to be argumentative, according to research led by Donald Loffredo, Ed. D, at the University of Houston. ENTJs in particular tended to score as highly argumentative.
ISTPs are the most unpredictable of the 16 personality types, because they're typically rational and logical, but can also be enthusiastic and spontaneous.
INTJs are typically very quiet and reserved unless they happen to meet someone who, like them, loves exploring theoretical concepts, analyzing possibilities, and dreaming up long-term goals. That said, they're not typically very verbal when it comes to discussing their feelings or people's personal lives.
ENTJs are one of the most impatient personality types around but that's both their strength and their weakness. The natural impatience of many ENTJs is what drives them to do more and be more, but it can also lead to conflict and restlessness.
ESFJ – Abandonment
ESFJs are extremely loyal individuals who are deeply committed to their loved ones. They are known for their responsibility, their generosity, and empathy. Being abandoned by those they've committed to and cared for topped their list of worst fears.
Studies show young people are more likely to procrastinate than older age groups. In fact, many people seem to outgrow procrastination as they mature. A 2016 study that analyzed procrastination in several different age groups found that procrastination was highest in 14-to-29-year-olds, the youngest age group studied.
Many ENTJs talk to themselves as a way to process their thoughts.
Intuitives (N) More Talkative than Sensors (S)
On average, Intuitives tend to talk more than Sensing types. The abstract capacities of intuition contribute to linguistic proficiency, as well as a penchant for verbally exploring and communicating ideas.
One thing to know about ENTJs is they're extremely self-confident, sometimes bordering on arrogant. This means they often have problems with authority. They dislike being told what to do and quickly get irritated if they feel like someone is dictating their actions.
The introverted (I) intuitive (N) types (“INs”)—INFJ, INFP, INTJ and INTP—are among the most “sensitive” of the personality types.
People with avoidant personality disorder are afraid of being rejected, criticized, or embarrassed and thus avoid situations where they may experience such reactions.
Type D personality is associated with social anxiety in the general population.
The INFJ. The INFJ is one of the rarest and most misunderstood personality types. These types are often seen as mysterious, daydreamy, and even confusing.
The ENTP. ENTPs are usually seen as energetic, curious, and spontaneous.
For women, however, the rarest personality type is INTJ and ENTJ. Just 1% of women type as INTJ and ENTJ respectively. Among women, INFJ is only the third rarest personality type with approximately 2% of women categorized as INFJ. Both INTJ women and ENTJ women are extremely rare in the general population.
Logicians (INTP) and Architects (INTJ) were among the least likely personality types to want children, with 60% each agreeing.
In general, ESTP and ESFP personality types are the least likely to go to a four-year college after high school.
