The most attractive spot for a piercing is the belly button. The least attractive is a tie between the nose and the nether regions. That's right: Men apparently don't like sexual piercings, or won't admit they do.
Belly Button Piercing
According to many surveys conducted primarily with on a male audience, it was found that out of all piercings, men find belly button or navel piercings with rings to be the most attractive piercing.
The types of piercings guys tend to favor most are helix piercings, industrial piercings, earlobe piercings, eyebrow piercings, septum piercings, tongue piercings, labret and other lip piercings, nipple piercings, and male genital piercings.
Similar to the monroe, the medusa piercing is also considered a feminine piercing. Medusa piercings are aligned in the middle of the upper lip directly under the nose. The medusa, like the septum and labret piercings, helps to center the face.
“The most dangerous piercings are the ones that involve cartilage, like higher ear piercings,” says Tracy Burton, a pediatric nurse practitioner in Ontario. “These piercings are associated with poor healing because of the limited blood supply to the area.
According to them, the 8 most popular piercings for women to get (beyond earlobe piercings) include belly button piercings, nose piercings, ear cartilage piercings, tongue piercings, nipple piercings, eyebrow piercings, lip piercings, and genital piercings, in that order.

Surface piercings have the highest rejection rate. Surface piercings such as microdermals as well as eyebrow piercings and navel piercings reject the most because they are closest to the surface of the skin.
Uncommon piercings may be more costly due to the fragile nature of the procedures. A few more uncommon piercings are eyeball piercings, dermal piercings (pictured to the left), corset piercings, some genital piercings, uvula piercings, bridge piercings, and anti-eyebrow piercings (the latter two are pictured above).
If you have any piercings, like a lip ring, nose ring, or gauge, unfortunately the odds are not really in your favor, with 48 percent, 61 percent, and 50 percent of women, respectively, finding them unattractive. You might come off a little attention-seeking, according to the women surveyed.
On the other hand, when a boy's ear is pierced, the right ear is pierced first. This is because these specific points coincide with the masculine and feminine halves of a person. It is believed that the right side of the body is the masculine side, while the left half is the feminine side.
Traditional ear piercings are acceptable and even desirable for mainstream models, since they're largely standard and allow models to showcase earrings. Multiple ear piercings are generally acceptable, but you may be asked to take them out for a shoot.

As a general rule, piercings in cartilage — the harder tissue in the back of the ear — will bleed more than soft tissue piercings, such as the belly button or eyebrow. If you're worried about bleeding, try somewhere a bit more fleshy to start with; earlobes are usually the go-to for a first piercing.
Pre-Y2K (and beyond), it's been socially understood that wearing one earring on the right ear means someone is gay; the left, straight.
Daith piercing might treat anxiety
Because anxiety disrupts homeostasis, the piercing's mechanism in maintaining homeostasis is believed to alleviate anxiety. Many people claim to be skilled piercers, but some acupuncturists are skeptical of unskilled piercers doing Daith piercing.
Lobe (including Orbital): “The earlobe piercing is the easiest piercing to get in terms of pain and healing,” says Rose. “It is with minimal discomfort, and healing can take four to six weeks.” With that said, Rose does advise against using rubbing alcohol and peroxide, and wearing face masks that go behind your ears.
