In the narrative, an incredibly handsome Yusuf becomes a victim of his brothers' jealousy and they throw him into a well. Rescued by a merchant who hears his cries for help, he is taken by him to be sold in a slave market in Egypt. Yusuf is put up for sale, astounding everyone who sees him by his wondrous beauty.
After 'Aziz' death, Joseph reportedly marries Zulaikha.
Portrayal. First mentioned in Genesis 41:45, Asenath is said to be the wife of Joseph and the mother of his sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
The Story of Zulaikha and Yusuf(pbuh) is an amazing tale of attempted seduction. Zulaikha is mentioned as the Quran as the “wife of Aziz” . The story is also mentioned in jew and christian traditions where she is known as the Potipher's Wife . Prophet Yusuf(pbuh) was the Prophet of Allah and the son of Prophet Yaqub .
Zulaykha was the wife of Aziz, the Prime Minister of Egypt, who had bought Yusuf as a slave and brought him into his household. Yusuf was known as the most handsome man alive. In order to show how handsome he was, Zulaikha once called some of the noble ladies and handed them each a fruit and a knife.

The most famous is by the 15th-century Persian Sufi poet ʻAbd al-Raḥmān Jāmī, who included it as one of the seven books in his Haft-awrang ('Seven Thrones').
The first publication of a list of women alleged to be Smith's plural wives was in 1887, by Andrew Jenson, an assistant LDS Church historian. It included 27 women besides Emma Smith. Genesis (39:7–20) tells how Joseph, sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, was bought by Potiphar, captain of Pharaoh's guard. Potiphar's wife (who is not named in the Bible) took a liking to the young man and made several failed attempts to seduce him.

Furthermore, in both the Jewish and Islamic traditions Joseph/Yusuf is an undeniably central and honored figure. His story is lengthy when compared to others in both Genesis and the Qur'an, and he is the subject of generous praise by both Jewish and Islamic commentators.
