In literature and popular culture, a pure soul usually refers to someone with a good heart.
Mothers are strong, brave, and have the purest soul of all.
A person who is described as pure is considered to be morally good, especially because they have no sexual experience or sexual thoughts. [literary]
The idea of having a “pure” heart can be defined as being selfless and caring more about others than yourself while also striving towards making positive changes in your life through actions that are kinder, gentler, and less selfish than those you would take otherwise.
When someone says that a person has a beautiful soul, typically they're referring to someone with a kind, giving nature—someone confident, genuine, balanced, and understanding. People with beautiful souls make others feel safe and at peace.
From a religious and philosophical standpoint, a soul is considered the essence of a human being. It's something that gives us individuality and humanity. So in this regard, someone with a pure soul means that their sense of self is untainted or uncorrupted by all the bad things happening in the world.
For someone to be pure in heart, it means their heart is set on one thing and nothing else. It is wholly directed toward one thing. For us to truly be concerned about purity, we must be concerned about where our affections and devotions lie.
This is a pure heart: a heart that desires nothing more than to be with God because that truly is all our life should be about! Within this beatitude, Jesus also promises that those who embody this pure heart will see God. Only those with a pure heart will know Jesus because that is what Jesus sees.

As Jesus is giving His famous sermon on the mount, He says is, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Mt. 5:8).

It means having an undivided loyalty to God - loving Him above all else. This kind of love comes from a clean heart that has been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. When we have this kind of love for God, it will overflow into every area of our lives - including our relationships with others.
The highest level of the soul is occupied by mind or reason, the locus of thought and understanding. Thought differs from sense-perception and is the prerogative, on earth, of human beings.
In some ethnic groups, there can also be more than two souls. Among the Tagbanwa, a person is said to have six souls - the "free soul" (which is regarded as the "true" soul) and five secondary souls with various functions.
