The new movie centers on three Minions — Kevin, Stuart, and Bob — who each become more distinct throughout the course of the film (or at least as distinct as gibberish-speaking henchmen can be).
Drum roll please for the main trio! Stuart, alongside both Kevin and Bob, these guys are the main squad of minions in the Despicable Me/Minions franchise. Stuart has his iconic single eye on everything. He is involved in most of what the minions are up to and how they contribute to the main plot of the movies.
Kevin, Stuart, and Bob are three of the most familiar minions, who appear as stars in the film Minions (2015) and its sequel Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022). Many other Minions are mentioned by name in the films and other media in the franchise.
Kevin, the leader of the Minion trio, out to find a new master. Stuart, a musician, and the slacker of the Minion trio. Bob, the youngest and smallest of the Minion trio.
Kevin is the 3rd Minion to be abducted after Jerry and Tom. He is the only Minion to be knighted by the British Empire. He had a crush on Scarlet Overkill. Kevin bears some resemblance to Margo Gru, which is why he was the protagonist of Minions, along with Bob and Stuart, due to him being their unofficial "leader."
John was a tall one eyed minion (the first tall minion with one eye) who loves to study space, and planets. He usually spends time in the Space Observation Center in the laboratory. Sadly, he died by The Ultimate Lava, the only substance that can "melt" a minion.
Bob is one of the leading minions in Minions alongside Kevin & Stuart. Bob is the youngest of Minions. Bob is the only minion know to have become king at some point.
Stuart the Minion
Distinguished by his one brown eye and center combed Minion hair, he has been fairly easy to keep tabs on. During the first two movies, Stuart was involved in a lot of mischief.
The creator of the Minions explained the reason behind the lack of females in their population back in 2015 – and it's not what you might think. Talking to The Wrap, Pierre Coffin said, "Seeing how dumb and stupid they often are, I just couldn't imagine Minions being girls."
Steve is a one-eyed minion with combed hair. He looks just like Stuart.
The tallest minion of all and the leader of the group, Kevin loves joking around and teasing others. But he is the bravest of the group and loves setting plans in motion. In the new movie, he is one of the main protagonists and even has a hand in tricking young Gru.
KEVIN. The indefatigable leader of the Minions (left), Kevin is a proud and protective "big brother." He's humble enough to recognize that he and his fellow Minions must have always have a master to serve or else they lack a purpose.
Minions. Norbert follows his tribe out of the ocean only to realize that he is naked. He runs back into the water and comes back out wearing starfishes on his chest. The narrator then states that he is an idiot.
Otto has a tuft of hair, a mouth full of braces, and, most excitingly, he's fat. In fact—and it truly blows my mind to say this—Otto is the best fat character in a major animated film since the iconic Shrek. “So what if he's fat?” you might ask. “What does that have to do with anything?” “He's a Minion!
Stuart is the only minion that has given birth to another minion.
Bob is a Minion who is more childish and immature than most of the other Minions. He is described as a "Little Brother" who finds love in anything and everything, including a rat (who he named Poochy) he found in a sewer in the Minions film.
Well, those two kind of go together; Gru's been taken by Wild Knuckles in an attempt to retrieve what's rightfully his. Unbeknownst to Mr. Knuckles, Otto, the newest, and most talkative of the Minions, has traded the jewelry for a pet rock.

'Minions', 2015
