The Seven's original lineup includes
They are also referred to as the Original Seven and Astronaut Group 1. Their names were publicly announced by NASA on April 9, 1959; these seven original American astronauts were Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Gus Grissom, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard, and Deke Slayton.
There's a reason Homelander is the leader of The Seven. Portrayed brilliantly by Antony Starr, Homelander is ever-present throughout the series. He is the ultimate supe.
Superheroes of the show are mostly corrupted, violent, unpredictable. That's especially true about the Seven, the most famous superhero team. Even though not all of them are bad, some members of the team are far from heroic.
The Seven are the central antagonistic faction in the adult comic-book series The Boys from 2006 and its television adaptation. They were a team of superheroes created by Vought-American who use their power and influence to gain fame and glory.
Starlight is a parody of both Doctor Light and Stargirl as well Mary Marvel costume with little Powergirl-influenced outfit.
One of the most powerful characters on The Boys, Homelander has heightened levels of superstrength, durability, stamina, and senses. He also possesses heat vision that he can either choose to shoot with a laser focus or use as a concussive force from his eyes.
“Homelander is basically the weakest character in the show. So he's constantly covering that up and covering up the fact that he's actually incredibly vulnerable, and ultimately weak, even though he's the physically strongest person on the show.” Starr admits.
Starlight is the one member of The Seven who has genuinely good intentions and wants to help people. Unfortunately for her, she's not the most powerful member of the team, so she has to work with others to influence The Seven from the inside and stop her villainous co-members from committing evil.
No. Homelander is more powerful, but Soldier Boy is nearly on par. Though maybe his radiation blasts are more powerful than Homelander.
Upon returning to Vought, Homelander kills Noir for withholding his knowledge of Soldier Boy being Homelander's biological father.
Aging. Whilst some Supes such as Stormfront and Soldier Boy don't age than their human counterparts, the average Supe ages almost identically as the average person.
Joining The Seven
Starlight has had a history of being in the spotlight, often attending superhero events as a child, she is selected to be a member of The Seven after interviewing following Lamplighter's retirement.
Homelander. By every standard, Homelander is considered the strongest super-abled person alive, being feared and respected (but mostly feared) by virtually every other member of The Seven.
#1: Homelander
Even if an opponent knows that his heightened senses can be used against him, there's still no way to take him out. Most supes are rightfully too scared to raise a hand against Homelander. The only person we've seen that may stand a chance against him is his young son, Ryan Butcher.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
It also added a new weakness, as the lethal Supe is deathly allergic to nuts. This was inspired by the real-life allergy of Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir in The Boys. As powerful as Black Noir is, this nut allergy ultimately brought him down in The Boys season 2.
Betrayed By Hughie
However, it also represents one more person who deceived Starlight and made her feel as though she was being used by someone she loves. Though their meeting was initially coincidental, Hughie is persuaded to use her to get to Vought.
Even though Soldier Boy could not take down Homelander with the help of Hughie and Butcher (Karl Urban) using temporary doses of Compound V, it was abundantly clear that he is still the closest anyone has been to the individual strength of Homelander.
Powers. Sonic Clap: By clapping his hands together, Supersonic could generate powerful sound waves. He appears to have a great control over the intensity of each sound wave produced by his claps. His powers were demonstrated in the "Rock My Kiss" music video, produced in 2008 by the Vought Music Group.
Superhuman Strength: One of Queen Maeve's primary abilities is tremendously enhanced superhuman strength, far greater than that of normal human beings. She was one of the most physically powerful Supes to have ever lived, only surpassed by Homelander.
Yup, Soldier Boy is Homelander's biological father. Suddenly all these daddy issues make a lot more sense. This character element isn't from the original The Boys comics, but was something Kripke and the writer's room came up with for the show.
1. Homelander. Undeniably the most fascinating character in The Boys, Homelander is an insanely powerful sociopath who has no idea how to relate to other people without exerting his power over them.
During Payback's fight against Soldier Boy, Black Noir received catastrophic brain injuries that left him both unable to verbally communicate and saddled with bizarre hallucinations of cartoon animals.
