Sirius Black, revealing this to Harry, said that Mundungus was heavily veiled and disguised as a witch because he had previously been barred from the Hog's Head, and admitted that Mundungus had been tailing Harry.
However, Mundungus appeared to be braver than people such as Peter Pettigrew. Though he had a tendency to flee when the situation seemed grim, he never actually turned against the Order of the Phoenix. Also, his crimes mainly included stealing and robbing, never killing.
In Chapters 4 and 5, Mundungus is one of the decoy Harry Potters, and is paired with Mad-Eye Moody. Terrified of the Death Eaters pursuing them, he deserts his post, leaving Mad-Eye to get hit by a Death Eater's killing curse. It's one of the least courageous moves we see throughout the entire book and many battles.
Despite his attraction to the Dark Arts and Voldemort's ideology of wizard supremacy, Snape's love for Muggle-born Lily Evans, Harry's mother, eventually compelled him to defect from the Death Eaters. He then became a double agent for Albus Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix.
So in summary, Snape is so angry with Harry in particular because he is petty in a sense; punishing the son for the sins of a father he never knew. He's ferocious with the other houses and is only nice to his Slytherins because he needs to preserve his role as a spy.
Mundungus Fletcher is a minor character in the Harry Potter franchise. He is mainly an anti-heroic and supporting character on the protagonists' side who occasionally serves as an antagonist, depending on the situation. He is a half-blood wizard and a notorious petty criminal with a disreputable reputation.
In the fourth Harry Potter film, Barty Crouch Jr. is enlisted by Voldemort to infiltrate Hogwarts to get closer to Harry Potter. He does this by assuming the identity of ex-Auror, Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody and taking the position of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.
Harry Potter Series
During the school year, Alastor remained in his trunk as Crouch disguised himself as Mad-Eye via the use of Polyjuice potion, and would make sure Harry Potter would enter the Triwizard Tournament to be confronted by Voldermort.
Peter Pettigrew Selling Out His Best Friend
This betrayal had the biggest damage in the series as it made Harry an orphan, sealed Sirius in Azkaban for twelve years, and led to all the deaths shown in the future when the Wizarding War resumed.
The Deathly Hallows Part I begins with a whole bunch of double-crossing and betrayals. Snape betrays the Order of the Phoenix. A guy from the Ministry of Magic becomes a Death Eater, which is probably how the Ministry ends up falling.
They are betrayed by Mr. Lovegood and captured by Voldemort's Snatchers. Climax: The Snatchers take them to the Malfoy mansion, where Harry and Ron are imprisoned while Bellatrix tortures Hermione for information.
However, they all learned the truth in 1994, when Pettigrew was exposed by Sirius Black and Remus Lupin; "Scabbers" was, in fact, Peter Pettigrew, the wizard who betrayed James and Lily Potter to Lord Voldemort.
A useful man. It was worth putting up with his minor criminality. They trusted him to act in accordance with his perceived best interests, that's enough for a master manipulator like Dumbledore, sadly Mad Eye overestimated his power to instil discipline in the face of danger.
Mundungus Fletcher, although a conniving thief, was an asset to the Order of the Phoenix. He had contacts with the underworld. He could bring valuable information from places no one else could. He was cunning and could work his way around people to get what he wanted.
Harry describes Umbridge to Sirius Black, saying that she's vile enough to be a Death Eater, despite not being one. Umbridge is also depicted to be a prejudiced person, despising half-breeds and Muggle-born witches and wizards to the point of firing Hagrid due to his half-giant birth status.
David Tennant
- where he finally gets to be Scottish - or as Crowley in Good Omens. In his portrayal, Tennant gave Barty the nervous habit of licking his lips, which Brendan Gleeson (Moody's actor) decided to go with. The movement was completely improvised on Tennant's part, but became an indicator for Barty Crouch Sr.
Voldemort fired a Killing Curse the second that Mundungus disapparated, and hit Moody in the face. Moody fell backwards off his broom and down to the ground, and even if he survived the curse (which is highly doubtful), Moody fell about one thousand feet with no wand, making his death a certainty.
Lord Voldemort
The Dark Lord. He Who Must Not Be Named. You Know Who. Lord Voldemort.
They were close friends, she saw in him someone special that she could care about. But she couldn't be with him. So, it seems like it was very unlikely that Lily ever found out Snape loved her.
Later in the year, Dumbledore revealed that Harry was in fact a Horcrux, meaning that he would eventually have to die. Now, as firmly established, Snape was not the greatest fan of Harry, but that didn't mean that he ever stopped loving Lily. Dumbledore was surprised that Snape seemed to care for the boy.
Dumbledore reveals how thoroughly he loves Harry. Harry is brave, and Dumbledore is proud as any father would be. More than that, Dumbledore succumbs to a parent's weakness; he cares more about Harry's happiness and wellbeing than the wizarding world he is trying to protect.
