It was a powerful nation, built purely by humans, an unprecedented flourishing and glorious civilization — it was the pride of humankind. Khaenri'ah, also known as the Kingdom of Khaenri'ah, is a region that is not part of the continent of Teyvat and is not under the purview of The Seven.
Khaenri'ah was ruled by the 'Eclipse Dynasty'. Not much is known about them, except that it followed a system of monarchy; that being ruled by a King and/or Queen, and that its likely final ruler was a man named “Irmin”.
Khaenri'ah was established outside Teyvat deep underground as the “pride of humanity.” Its people created incredibly advanced technological automatons, many of which can be fought and defeated like Genshin Impact's Ruin Grader and various other ruin machines.
we learned that Kaeya hails from the Alberich Clan. a clan NOT of royal lineage which ruled temporarily as regents in Khaenri'ah. this new information has driven a wedge into the theory of Kaeya. being the Prince of the Eclipse Dynasty.
Khaenri'ah is a mysterious nation outside of the mainland of Teyvat where the Seven do not reign. Five hundred years ago, the work of the alchemist known as "Gold" unleashed a terrible curse on its people that transformed those afflicted into monsters.
Eventually, an advanced human nation called the Kingdom of Khaenri'ah rebelled against the Heavenly Principles and was destroyed by the gods.
The Art of Khemia played into the taboo of Alchemy: the creation of life. Gold unleashed her man-made monsters unto Teyvat in pursuit of power. Because of this, Celestia called forth the seven Archons to fight and destroy Khaenri'ah.

Kaeya has a surprising story twist, as he was actually a spy sent by a neighboring region to Mondstadt called Khaenri'ah. Kaeya's mission is still a bit shrouded in mystery, but it seems to point to the young boy being sent to sabotage the wine industry of the region so that the economy would suffer.
Dainsleif was a royal guard and Kaeya is implied to be a descendent from there. This could mean that Dainsleif knows of or was once acquainted with Kaeya's ancestry, or perhaps even Kaeya himself. This seems to be the main reason people theorize they are connected.
Khaenri'ah was a nation without a god — not because it had a god that died or abandoned them, but because it never had a god to begin with. It was a powerful nation, built purely by humans, an unprecedented flourishing and glorious civilization — it was the pride of humankind.
As such, there's a chance that he could possess two elements, one Celestial and one Abyssal, much like Genshin Impact's Childe. Dainsleif is a tall man with light blond hair and sea blue eyes with distinct, star-shaped irises that are common among "pure-blood" Khaenri'ahns, such as Chlothar and presumably Pierro and Kaeya. He wears a mask-like eyepatch covering the right side of his face while still showing his right eye.

That night, Kaeya revealed his true identity to Diluc — he was a secret agent from Khaenri'ah, who was planted in Mondstadt, as “last hope.” This led to a life or death confrontation between the two which ended with Kaeya receiving his Vision.
While Dainsleif is currently a nation-less knight, he was once a royal guard from Khaenri'ah. Lumine hated him because he opposed their goal to destroy Celestia. While most of his own people wanted justice, Dainsleif was alone in his opposition to war.
