Ahsoka became aware of Darth Vader's presence in the Star Wars Rebels Season Two premiere "The Siege of Lothal." She seemed to have suspicions about who the Sith Lord actually was, but she didn't uncover the truth until "Shroud of Darkness." She had a vision while visiting the Jedi Temple on Lothal and realized Anakin ...
Heartbroken, Ahsoka realizes — or maybe fully accepts — that her former friend and teacher has suffered a fate worse than death, and that Anakin is, in fact, Darth Vader. But Ahsoka finally meets Darth Vader face-to-face in the Season 2 finale.
They had a deep bond, and they were like brother and sister. Ahsoka was one of Vader's last remaining emotional attachments. When Vader picks up Ahsoka's lightsaber at the end of the Clone Wars, if you really zoom in, some of his eye pixles are blue.
Ashoka knew who Darth Vader was, Anakin Skywalker, his former master and friend. The connection to Ashoka was so strong that Darth Vader initially offers her to join him, something the embittered former Jedi would offer no other.
No. But, Ahsoka did love Anakin, and there is tons of proof to back it up. It wasn't always that way. In the beginning, Anakin and Ahsoka treated each other purely as master and apprentice.
A Jedi Padawan, Ahsoka was Anakin's apprentice and Padmé's friend. Despite this, the couple never told Ahsoka about their secret marriage. However, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, a series of animated shorts, revealed that Ahsoka knew about Anakin and Padmé's feelings for each other.
The Emperor is Officially Anakin's 'Father'
And for those who might wonder how Anakin would actually be able to learn such an Earth-shattering truth, without suspicion of it being further manipulation by his Sith Master, the circumstances of the story help explain.
Also, she felt Anakin's plan, but she had to do what was right for herself and not for him. Anakin had always struggled with abandonment even though he had left his mother willingly. Seeing Ahsoka leave was like a blow to the heart and his fear of loss is what Yoda and Obi-Wan feared would get the better of him.
Ahsoka Tano, Anakin's former Padawan on the run after the events of Episode III, meets up with Bail just long enough to meet Leia in passing while they conspire to form the Rebel Alliance.
She asks him what does he want with Anakin Skywalker and Maul reveals that Anakin will fall to the Dark Side and become Sidious's new apprentice. Darth Vader taking the saber represents Anakin's love for his first spiritual child, Ahsoka. It echoes the way he addresses her by name in Rebels' “Twilight of the Apprentice,” letting Ahsoka know that her former master is still in there somewhere.
The Unwanted Padawan
Despite Obi-Wan's advice about how being a teacher was a privilege and obligation, Anakin wasn't into it. He was annoyed with Ahsoka from their first meeting. Anakin's reaction when Ahsoka said she was assigned to him was priceless.
Darth Vader didn't learn he had a daughter until Return of the Jedi, when he stood before Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor's power probed Luke's mind, attempting to goad him to fall to the dark side, and he discovered Leia's existence. "Sister," the Emperor taunted.
R2-D2 was present when Padmé gave birth to Leia and Luke, so he knew Luke was Anakin's son – but what he didn't know was that Anakin became Darth Vader. It was Barriss herself who orchestrated the bombing and framed Ahsoka. Anakin dueled Barriss on Coruscant, and eventually placed her under arrest. The story is Anakin was manipulated to the dark side by Palpatine based on fears of losing Padme and appeals to his desire power and agency, over his life and the galaxy as a whole. Part of me wonders why he believed/ trusted Palpatine to begin with.
The added risk Darth Vader takes in allowing children to live in a situation where he could have killed them proves that he regrets killing Younglings and will avoid harming any more children for the rest of his days, though intense intimidation is a dark strategy to avoid repeating his Youngling massacre.
