While Dio may be an embodiment of evil, he did have an odd sense of respect for Jonathan Joestar. This is why the villain would not overwhelm the hero alongside his minions when he raised them against Jonathan. This was also the reason Dio was so adamant about possessing his adoptive brother's body specifically.
However, after fighting each other several times, DIO finally acknowledged Jonathan. In fact, by the end of Phantom Blood, DIO respected him the most. One of the biggest highlights in the story was DIO's reaction to Jonathan's death.
Pucci is the only person besides Jonathan that DIO shows respect to. Many also ship it for their devotion to one another, sharing the same goals and philosophies. Pucci is also the only person DIO has apologized to, and DIO even sacrificed a part of his own body to show his respect for Pucci after insulting him.
Pucci and Jonathan were two very different relationships, both men that Dio really respected a great deal more than any other person to the point that Dio confesses some deep personal feelings to both of them which is something he doesn't do lightly with anyone.
To Dio, the Joestars represented something he hated just as much as his father: the upper class, those who never suffered like he did and had their life handed to them on a silver platter.
DIO doesn't have a lot of close relationships, but he does consider Pucci a friend and trusts him completely.
In terms of intellect, both are very close, but DIO barely edges Pucci.
The unknown force of attraction could have also brought Giorno to Florida, but he never met Pucci. One theory explains that since Giorno was more of a Joestar, so he did not get drawn to Pucci's exact location.
No, he didn't. At first yes, after that he no longer regretted it. It's an odd relationship that they have. Dio hated him, coveted his life, and wanted to destroy and replace him.
After the death of his obnoxious father, Dio made his way into the Joestar mansion. He and Jonathan immediately resented each other and formed a rivalry that would encompass their relationship. Dio was obsessed with Jonathan, who was the protagonist of Part 1 and he tried to ruin his life in every possible way.
If you'll recall from the ending of Phantom Blood, Dio professed that he respected Jonathan over all else, and even mourned him briefly after he died.
DIO was too afraid that Jotaro was going to be another "Jonathan" in which he'd win. The magnets that Jotaro put on himself and he made DIO think that Jotaro was just another "weak" Joestar, in which he got cocky, and decided to go for the fatal blow with the stop sign.
Dio is canonically bisexual. Araki stated in a 2007 interview that "[Dio's] sort of a composed character that could go either way. [He] could go with a man or a woman."
During the final battle, Anasui asks Jolyne's father Jotaro for his blessing for his and Jolyne's marriage, claiming that when everything is over, the two will get married.
Dio Brando is an orphan, but Jonathan Joestar completely opens his heart up to him and earnestly welcomes him into his family. Dio becomes jealous and ungrateful over all of these luxuries, but Jonathan never victimizes him or makes him feel embarrassed over his past.
DIO is confirmed bi and one of the most famous scenes in part 6 is him and Pucci laying in bed together, shirtless, reading. Hmmm. Araki: Now that you mention it, I think I might've had something like that in mind when I drew it (laugh). But Dio's sort of a composed character that could go either way.
Whitesnake's user is eventually revealed to be a prison chaplain named Enrico Pucci. Pucci sought Jotaro's memories to learn the details of Dio's written plan to establish heaven on Earth, which Jotaro had destroyed twenty-two years earlier after killing Dio.
Pucci gravitates to a space shuttle, even avoiding a spear thrown by Jotaro, thanks to a lingering ability to move in the time-stop, and subsequently evolves his Stand further. The priest now commands Made in Heaven and begins the next step of his plan.
The World is a powerful Stand that belongs to DIO, who has some of the most iconic poses in the anime, making him easy to identify. The Stand boasts of a very high offensive power, which gives it the edge in a 1v1. The World is among the few stands that have the ability to stop time.
Made in Heaven is an extremely powerful stand that can manipulate the gravitational forces of the earth, moon, and the entire universe. With its power to accelerate time, Pucci was able to create an entirely new universe. Made in Heaven turned Pucci into the strongest character in Stone Ocean.
Nope. Pucci loves DIO as he loves God, so I don't think that's considered romantic. Besides, DIO's diary specifically states that his chosen “friend” should hold no lust for earthly desires, sexual gratification included. Given that, Pucci is technically canonically asexual.
Pucci met DIO when he was 15 and DIO died when he was 17. When DIO died he was still a twenty something year old. Now Pucci aged up 21 or so years, and died at 39 years old.
Before the events of Stone Ocean, DIO asked Pucci if he will betray him someday with the notion of how he could take The World any time he wanted with Whitesnake. Pucci explained that he loves DIO as he loves God, and how he had never thought of such a thing.
