In the show's fifth season, Liberty becomes pregnant after the two become sexually active, with Liberty ultimately deciding to put the baby up for adoption. He then begins to date Mia by the sixth season, but has second thoughts about Liberty.
Liberty is a survivor. This is why, amid all the catastrophes around her, Liberty decides to give up her baby with J.T. baby for adoption, only holding her son for one moment before handing him over to his new family.
Contrary to popular belief, the choice to leave Degrassi was not Ryan's. He revealed in a 2007 interview that the writers decided to kill J.T. off, although Ryan was considering going to college at the time. "It did come as a surprise to me that my character was getting killed off the show," explained Cooley.

They had been good friends for years when J.T. developed a crush on Manny in the third season when she decided to sexualize her image. She turned him down, but the two eventually began to date for around four months; they then broke up due to J.T.'s immaturity.
The relationship ended in Foolin' because J.T. thought that Liberty was too controlling once she found out she was pregnant. Their second relationship started in Turned Out (1), then ended in Turned Out (2) because J.T. tried committing suicide.
Degrassi Junior High
The character's storyline begins in the episode "It's Late", where after a sexual encounter with Shane McKay (Bill Parrott), she becomes pregnant.
Zoë lost her virginity to Drew, and not wanting to hurt her feelings, decided to date her. The two broke up shortly after, and Drew apologized for all of the damage he caused in her life.
Spinner and Emma never actually dated or even had much interaction, but married each other one night after getting very drunk at a casino. After realizing they did, in fact, love each other, Spinner and Emma decided to stay married. They are the only original characters from the first season to get married.
She has an on and off again relationship with Eli Goldsworthy. At the end of Season 13, she learned that she's pregnant. In Season 14, it is revealed she's pregnant with Eli's son, who was supposed to be named Adam but she later miscarried.
Drew and Bianca eventually rekindle their relationship and get engaged. Drew's mother, Audra, crashes the elopement, but accepts their relationship and convinces them to hold off the wedding. After she graduates from Degrassi, she leaves for university.
Rick, being mad since he thinks that his feelings mean nothing to Terri, pushes her to the ground where she near-fatally hits her head on a cinder block, putting her into a coma. Afterwards, Rick was expelled Degrassi, and Terri transferred to a private school.
Schmidt was credited as a series regular on Degrassi in the first three seasons (2001–2004). After that, she left the show to continue her career in modeling. Her character, Terri, had left due to fear of her abusive boyfriend Rick, who had put her in a coma near the end of the third season.
Anson followed Bianca to a Keke Palmer concert and tried to rape her. Then Drew arrived and tried to fight Anson, but was ultimately losing to him. In self-defense, Bianca struck Anson's head with a brick, which killed him.
He cheated on her with Daphne Hatzilakos. Their second relationship almost ended again when student Darcy Edwards wrongly accused him of sexual harassment to hide the fact that she was raped at a party. Spike accuses Snake of doing something wrong, and leaves until the allegations are cleared against Snake.
