Mjolnir was forged by a dwarf named Sindri. While he was creating it, Loki, the trickster fire god, disguised himself as a fly and attempted to interfere with Sindri's work by buzzing around him. As a result, Mjolnir's handle was unusually short.
Mjölnir was forged by the Huldra Brothers Brok and Sindri, back when they were relatively unknown blacksmiths and they were eager to make a name for themselves.
In Norse mythology, Brokkr (Old Norse: [ˈbrokːz̠], "the one who works with metal fragments; blacksmith", anglicized Brokk) is a dwarf, and the brother of Eitri or Sindri.
Later discoveries revealed that Hela had been the first wielder of Mjolnir in her role as Odin's executioner before Odin banished her out of fear of her power, although Thor later learned that he was able to channel the powers of Mjolnir without his hammer.
The Æsir had to agree. Brokk, denied full vengeance, decided that since Loki's head was his, he could stop Loki's glib talk. Using Eitri's awl, Brokk sewed Loki's lips shut with a leather thong. After a time of silence, Loki managed to cut the thong and make plans for revenge.
While he was creating it, Loki, the trickster fire god, disguised himself as a fly and attempted to interfere with Sindri's work by buzzing around him. As a result, Mjolnir's handle was unusually short. Nevertheless, a blow from Thor's hammer was so powerful that it would result in instant death.
The really weird thing is that Brok has blue skin, whereas Sindri sports naturally looking pinkish-tan skin. According to Sindri, Brok's skin has turned blue due to exposing himself to silver metals as he worked with the material for years using his bare hands.
On one hand, there is Kratos who uses his Draupnir Spear with precision. On the other hand, Thor uses his hammer with the single objective of causing mass destruction. Hence, giving Mjolnir to Kratos could have affected his character as an individual whose actions are for the good and always bring justice.
The Leviathan Axe is Canonically More Powerful than Mjolnir.
The Leviathan is a two-handed war axe that is Kratos' main offensive weapon in God of War.
Unlike the others, Zeus is not worthy to lift Mjolnir, but through a loophole, he can anyway. If Mjolnir is to enter his domain, Zeus's MCU powers should override Odin's enchantment, meaning he can hold Mjolnir. He may not be worthy, but technically Zeus is the fifth character who can lift Mjolnir in the MCU's Phase 4.
Sindri cannot forgive Atreus, and by extension Kratos, as we see when Sindri pushes away Kratos at the funeral. Just like in real life, some people can't move past a falling out with a friend. Some things are impossible to forgive or forget.
The short version of God of War: Ragnarok's ending
Odin makes his grand revelation by stabbing and killing Brok. That turns Sindri, normally gregarious and deferential, into an angry Dwarf, deeply resentful of Kratos, Atreus and their role in setting up Brok's death.
The big, late-game plot twist in God of War Ragnarok is that Týr, the one you rescued early in the game, is not actually the Norse god of war but rather Odin in disguise. While the trickery was caught when Týr kept calling Atreus, Loki, the developers hid a tell the moment you meet him.
Like many of the other great weapons on Norse Mythology Gungnir was made by the Dwarves, who were famous for being master craftsmen. The spear was made when Loki cut the hair of Sif, Thor's wife, without her permission. Her hair was beautiful and golden, so both her and Thor were greatly angered by Loki's actions.
Mjolnir is a hammer, and was enchanted by Thor's father, Odin, so that only those the hammer deemed "worthy" are capable of wielding or even lifting it. Stormbreaker is an axe, and although it does not have such a worthiness enchantment, its power is such that a mere mortal attempting to wield it would be driven mad.
And Mathaudhu can cite documentary sources to back him up. For example, Marvel – which publishes the Thor comics – issued a “Thor's Hammer” trading card in 1991 that states Mjolnir is made of Uru and weighs precisely 42.3 pounds. That's lighter than a herd of 300 billion mice, much less a herd of 300 billion elephants.
However, before a decision can be made, Sindri arrives, hastily grabbing the marble from Atreus' hand, and quickly smashes it with his hammer, killing Odin once and for all. Before the group can react, Sindri disappears again, and won't make another appearance until Brok's funeral during the favor, A Vikings Funeral.
At the end of the battle, Atreus captures Odin's soul within a marble that he, Kratos, and Freya all refuse to destroy. Frustrated at their decision, after everything he had lost, Sindri snatches the marble and smashes it with Andvari's hammer, thus avenging his brother's death.
long story short, yes, God of War Ragnarök does have a secret ending. To get the secret ending in God of War Ragnarök, after the final battle, you need to return to Sindri's House (the magical inter-dimensional hub that Kratos has called home throughout the game).
At the end of 2018's God of War, Kratos saw a prediction of his own death, something Atreus also finds out in the new game and works tirelessly to prevent. Much of Ragnarok's themes revolve around Kratos and Atreus' complex relationship and Kratos learning to trust his son and allow him to be his own man.
Once everyone and everything is accounted for, Atreus leaves for his own solo journey to save the giants as Kratos emotionally accepts that his son needs to forge his own path. Then, Kratos is assigned cleanup duty of the Nine Realms alongside Freya, in the form of missed side-quests and fetch-or-kill missions.
A Viking Funeral is a Side Quest Favor in God of War Ragnarok that can only be unlocked after the completion of the main storyline. This side quest acts as the true ending to the game, as upon its completion, the screen will fade to black, and the final credits will roll.
Of course, Thor does kill Kratos in that battle but immediately brings him back to life in a fun gameplay twist.
Unfortunately for fans looking to pick up the iconic hammer, neither Kratos nor Atreus can wield the mighty Mjölnir in God of War Ragnarok.
