It turns out the hair on the head of the Nazirite was symbolic of the fact that he/she was separated for the things of the Lord. The hair was the visible symbol that this person was wholly dedicated to the Lord.
Samson was a legendary Israelite warrior and judge, a member of the tribe of Dan, and a Nazirite. His immense physical strength, which he used for 20 years against the Philistines, derived from his uncut hair.

Biblical accounts of hair loss
The second mention of hair loss lies in Leviticus 13:40-41, which proclaims that “a man has lost his hair and he is bald, he is clean.
In the tragic story of Absalom, the handsome son of King Solomon, his scalp hairs used to get so heavy that he had to often cut them, and it was found to weigh 200 shekels by the royal measure, which is about 5 pounds - quite a weight to be carrying around on one's head.
Ezek 5:1, Ps 52:4),8 had been the object through which Samson had been robbed of his hair. Consequently the man can be considered to be the person who brought Delilah the razor, which was then used by her to cut Samson's hair.
Like the mighty Samson, Samuel is dedicated to the Lord as a child. This dedication was for life, and so he never cuts his hair (1 Sa 1:11, Nu 6:1–21).
