Sabito and Giyuu met years before the start of the series as apprentices of Urokodaki, the former Water Pillar. They were good friends and bonded well due to their similar past and motivations.
In some ways, Tanjiro is his closest friend (aside from his late friend Sabito, and, to some extent, fellow Hashira Shinobu Kocho).
In the first season of the Demon Slayer anime, Giyu Tomioka is set next to Shinobu Kocho during the Natagumo Mountain Arc. Though Giyu is much too stoic to openly admit his admiration of Shinobu, it is clear that they share an interest in saving the demons who have had their lives stolen by Muzan Kibutsuji.
He was the best friend of The water hashira, Tomioka. He died saving Giyuu. Sabito was indeed a strong demon hunter and if he was alive, he would definetely be stronger than Giyu and be at the level of Gyomei. He was killed by the Hand Demon, as shown in the anime and manga.
Makomo and Giyu never met in the series. Makomo was already deceased when Giyu was taken in by Urokodaki. But with that being said, the two are both fellow pupils of Urokodaki and users of the Water Breathing so they do have something in common.
Yae ( 八 や 重 え , Yae?) is a young woman who joins Giyu Tomioka on his travels in Giyu Tomioka's Story after her father Matazo transforms into a demon.
Plus, it shows that Giyu opened up to his comrades and that he has a good friend in Tengen.
He loses an arm during the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, but survives after the demon is destroyed.
Giyu would still instruct Tanjiro to train to become a Demon Slayer with Urokodaki. As there is no Nezuko, Tanjiro would have no reason to pity demons, and he'll be much more harsh that he would be if Nezuko was alive.
Shinobu confessed her love to Guiyu. in episode 18 of Demon Slayer, Shinobu shows her liking to Guiyu. when both hashira's were sent on a mission.
GiyuShino is the het ship between Shinobu Kocho and Giyuu Tomioka from the Demon Slayer fandom.
Giyu might be aloof or apathetic, but despite being one of the strongest fighters in the Corps, he suffers from an inferiority complex. His character is mostly portrayed as someone who just keeps up to himself.
In fan interpretation, Sanemi is often depicted as smitten with Kanae, and too frightened to make the first move, fearing she might reject him.
Shizuka is seen often teasing Sanemi and making him annoyed, nevertheless, the two had still created a strong bond and relationship with each other. Eventually, after knowing each other for a while, Shizuka finally ended up having the courage and confessed, leading to them getting married after awhile.
Why did Giyu Tomioka referred to himself as a Fake Hashira? The term “Fake Hashira” acts as a way to remind Guys of his shortcomings and how things could have been different if his friend survived.
The Water Hashira, Giyu, survived the "Infinity Castle" arc after fighting beside Tanjiro against Akaza and Muzan. Though his sword was snapped by Akaza, and he lost an arm to Muzan, Giyu fought with Tanjiro and his fellow Hashira with everything he had.
10 Can Beat: Tanjiro
Yes, Tanjiro and Nezuko do manage to surprise him during that initial confrontation — but had he chosen to pursue his attack against Nezuko, Giyu likely still would have defeated both of them.
And the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa, draws his sword against Nezuko…
Giyu grows angry at his actions, stating that he has no authority over who lives or who dies. He continues that Tanjiro was too weak to protect his family, and all of his talk about finding a cure for his sister's condition and finding his family's killer is ridiculous.
Full name: Giyu Tomioka. Age: 28.
Unfortunately, many fan-favorite characters didn't survive in Demon Slayer, and the Hashira certainly weren't an exception. Demon Slayer's nine Hashira are humanity's last line of defense against the vicious demons that rule the night.
Giyu Tomioka was the first Hashira introduced to the series, and is easy to name among the strongest. In addition to how easily Giyu defeated Rui when Tanjiro struggled against him, Demon Slayer's Giyu Tomioka was able to put up a great fight against Akaza, although he never managed to have the advantage over him.
In the eighth episode of the "Entertainment District" arc, Upper Six Gyutaro couldn't stop gushing over his man-crush on Tengen.
Tengen Uzui
He is the fastest Hashira, and the second physically strongest. Obviously, then, Tengen Uzui is rather proud. He is demanding, fussy, boastful, and prone to selfishness.
i know, though, some believe he loves hina (21) the most, because he had the most interaction with her in the manga and they have the most “husband-and-wife” feel. we also have to remember that suma (19) was tengen's first chosen wife—they both personally agreed to letting hina and makio (20) into their relationship.
