Very intelligent. I'd even go as far as to call him one of the smartest characters in the series. I know he's no prodigy or genius like Shikamaru and the two other Nara men, Tobirama, Itachi, Kakashi, Minato, etc, however Naruto is undoubtedly quite intelligent.
William James Sidis has the World's Highest IQ. Anywhere from 250 to 300 is his IQ score, almost twice the score of Albert Einstein. At the age of eleven, William famously entered Harvard University, becoming the youngest person to enter. He also claimed to be conversant in 25 languages.

The smartest character on this entire list, Saiki Kusuo is a step ahead of his jealous brother. Even without the use of his psychic powers, Kusuo would ace any IQ test he took.
He absolutely is, hes better with jutsu and hes way more booksmart then naruto was. This could be contributed to the fact that he has a nurturing mother at home and naruto didnt. In the anime we see hinata making boruto study.
It has been established that Naruto is not the smartest character in the series and is the type of person who lets his emotions get the better of him. However, he matured quite a bit and displayed his intellect on a few occasions. However, he always consults Shikamaru on matters that require a lot of thinking.
With his signature technique, Flying Thunder God, Tobirama Senju was the fastest character in Naruto. But a few have now been able to beat the Hokage. Tobirama Senju is one of the most popular characters in Naruto. He succeeded his brother as the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf.
8) Naruto Uzumaki - Seventh Hokage
He is the reason behind the peace in the Shinobi world, an accomplishment even the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju couldn't manage to acquire. Naruto is by far the kindest character in the series.
When discussing the worst Hokage in the series, the ones that should be taken into consideration are Hiruzen Sarutobi, Tobirama Senju, and potentially, Tsunade Senju. While the general consensus is that Tsunade has been the worst Hokage to ever appear in Naruto, that is far from the truth.
In fact, it is believed that by the age of 7, Itachi had the wisdom of a Kage already. This made him incredibly intelligent and his decision-making, along with the ability to analyze various situations while being calm, made him quite a unique shinobi.
10 Could: Itachi Uchiha
Itachi was able to fight against Naruto Uzumaki in his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, something that Pain could never do. He was also able to incapacitate Nagato Uzumaki, and it is quite easy to see that he could definitely have taken on and defeated Pain in combat.
Naruto beat Pain in the series, and this was canon. However, despite entering Sage Mode, Pain was able to drive him to a corner. Towards the end of the series, Naruto did receive powers from Hagoromo, which put him on a whole new level.
What is Uchiha Madara's IQ? He was believed to have an IQ over 200 by his teacher, Asuma, and could defeat opponents significantly stronger than he was, provided there was even the slightest chance of victory.
In the databook Sakura has an IQ of 175. That's higher than most anime characters.
Goku: 76, even though you might think his IQ could be even lower sometimes, he often proves he can do some smart things too, especially while fighting and especially during DBZ.
