1. Gyomei Himejima. Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons.
Gyomei Himejima: The Blind Stone Hashira with Unmatched Strength. Among the Hashira, Gyomei Himejima stands out as the Stone Hashira, with unmatched raw physical strength.
2 Sanemi Shinazugawa, The Wind Hashira.
Demon Slayer's Tengen Uzui is considered to be one of the weakest Hashira due to almost losing this fight, but the fact is that Tengen only looks weak when compared to the most overpowered Hashira.
But, when it comes to who was the better Hashira, Tengen wins by a considerable margin. His experiences as a shinobi and as a Demon Slayer far exceeded Rengoku's, and led to him developing far superior strength, battle tactics, and techniques.
Obanai Iguro is one of the harsher Hashira members. He demanded that Giyuu be punished for allowing Nezuko to get away unharmed, and later restrained Tanjiro as he tried to help his sister. He hates demons and has little regard for his fellow Hashira, except Mitsuri Kanroji later on.
Rengoku's Unwavering Will Was His Greatest Weakness
Since he believes it is his responsibility as someone strong to protect those weaker than him, he will make sure he does just that. Rengoku sees any mission through to the very end, even at the cost of his life.
Tanjiro decapitates Akaza with the Hinokami Kagura: Setting Sun Transformation. Akaza was bewildered, wondering how Tanjiro did not have any fighting spirit, comparing this feeling to fighting against a plant. He acknowledges that Tanjiro surpassed his speed.
5 Hashiras who die in Demon Slayer, and how it happens.
Specifically, Muichiro was the Mist Hashira who made use of the Mist Breathing sword style. He was also the youngest of the Hashira at only 14 years old, being considered a prodigy of the Corps who became a Hashira only two months after joining the Demon Slayers.
2) Rengoku
However, Rengoku was forced to face off against Akaza who was Upper Moon 3. The Flame Hashira carried out his duties until his death as he did not let his comrades get injured.
Shinobu Kocho Is the Weakest Hashira
The Insect Hashira, Shinobu's petite frame prevents her from being physically able to decapitate any demon, be it an Upper-Rank or the weakest demon in Japan. At one point or another in the manga, all nine Hashira in Demon Slayer encountered an Upper-Rank.
Going beyond this, Giyu is one of the most combat proficient Demon Slayers seen throughout the entire series. Furthermore, his strength and abilities are always portrayed as seemingly a cut above the rest of the Hashira, solidifying his expected victory against Tanjiro.
Giyu Tomioka Fulfilled His Promise to Protect Tanjiro
The Water Hashira, Giyu, survived the "Infinity Castle" arc after fighting beside Tanjiro against Akaza and Muzan. Though his sword was snapped by Akaza, and he lost an arm to Muzan, Giyu fought with Tanjiro and his fellow Hashira with everything he had.
Chapter 205 of Demon Slayer features a timeskip and mentions the death of Tanjiro three generations after the battle against Muzan. To sum things up, Tanjiro died fighting Muzan and was revived within seconds due to the transfer of blood from the Demon King to Tanjiro.
After various battles within the Dimensional Infinity Fortress the remaining Upper Moons are killed by the hands of various Demon Slayers. The last member, Upper Moon Four Nakime, ends up being killed by Muzan Kibutsuji himself to stop the Dimensional Infinity Fortress from being controlled by his enemies.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the first swordsmen to ever use Breathing Styles, once nearly killed Muzan with Sun-Breathing, and Muzan has been both physically and psychologically scarred ever since.
Demon Slayer has peculiar characters with incredible strength, skill, and presence. But, among this group of eccentric people, Kyojuro Rengoku still stands out from his colleagues due to his upright and exceptional bright personality. Yet, his fiery hair is also one of the biggest reasons he stands out.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
The gentle giant of the group, Stone Hashira Gyōmei Himejima has a huge body and an even bigger heart. He is very sensitive, seen crying almost constantly, and soft-spoken.
The only Demon he despises the most is the Upper Rank Two: Doma. It is quite a shocker that the second most potent Demon in the Demon Slayer is not Muzan's favorite.
