Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was the only wizard Voldemort ever feared and the only one who could have defeated him in a duel. Albus Dumbledore is the most powerful wizard in the Harry Potter.
Grindelwald Is More Powerful and Cunning Than Voldemort
Grindelwald had more power in the Wizarding World up till the final moments of his life. He had more followers, and they were intensely loyal to him. He conquered more of the globe and could perform more advanced forms of magic.
The debate about whether Voldemort or Grindelwald was the worse villain has raged for years, but the Harry Potter books have the definitive answer. Voldemort was the big bad of the original series, with Grindelwald serving as the villain of the prequel Fantastic Beasts movies.
However, while he was, without a question, an amazing wizard, he wasn't more powerful than Voldemort. He fell to the Dark Lord's hand on that fateful night. Granted, so did Lily, but her love protected Harry from Voldemort.
Harry's other best friend, the bookish and kind Hermione Granger can't be beaten in the classroom. Harry recognizes her as his year's best student and even said so at some point. But while Hermione can ace any test, she can't quite keep up with Harry on the battlefield.
We would have to give the victory to Darth Vader. While the two dark lords seem perfectly matched on their villainy and power, Darth Vader's lightsaber and ability to immediately use the force to choke Voldemort, without chanting any spell would end this showdown in seconds.
Objectively, Gellert Grindelwald actually had better "Dark Lord" achievements than Voldemort, despite being killed by him. Voldemort just happened to be eviler and more driven, hence more dangerous, but he is by no means more powerful than Grindelwald.
The only one Grindelwald did seem to have genuine fear of appears to be Albus Dumbledore, as he quickly fled the scene after Ariana was killed trying to intervene in a duel he started, and later in life when he refrained from attacking England despite his possession of the Elder Wand out of fear of his former friend.
Besides Dumbledore, he is also the only wizard ever known to be able to apparate silently. Voldemort was also said to fear one wizard alone, Dumbledore.
Bellatrix Lestrange (née Black) is the first female Death Eater introduced in the books. Aunt of Draco Malfoy and Nymphadora Tonks. She was introduced in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She is the most faithful member of Voldemort's inner circle.
Avada Kedavra
Topping the list for the most powerful spells in the Harry Potter universe is no other than Avada Kedavra, Voldemort's favorite to instill his will and fear onto others. The spell itself is a play on Abra Kadabra and is easy to cast by just about anyone in the Wizarding World.

Hermione could beat Dumbledore any day if she wanted to. She's one of the most brilliant minds of her generation; like any good Gryffindor, she's brave, loyal, and strong. She mastered advanced spells at a young age, could make any potion perfectly, and her quick thinking saved her, Ron, and Harry more than once.
House-elves could perform magic beyond that of a wizard
Dobby frequently demonstrated himself to be immensely powerful, causing Lucius Malfoy himself to back down with just a point of his finger.
During his final confrontation with Voldemort, Harry knew that he (Harry) was the Elder Wand's true master. He again cast Expelliarmus, ejecting the wand from Voldemort's hand into his own as the Killing Curse rebounded off his body, fatally striking Voldemort.
1 Luke Skywalker
Having faced his father once before, Luke was familiar with his tactics and used the force to gain an upper-hand. In Star Wars Canon, only Luke Skywalker can be acknowledged as the one who truly defeated Darth Vader.
Voldemort would beat Superman in a fight. With Superman's powers, there is no doubt that he could easily beat any ordinary person. But to Voldemort, Superman is just one of the 'muggles'. Voldemort can simply flick his wand and wreck Superman's powers.
There are certainly scenarios where Darth Vader would have the upper hand in a duel with Yoda, but in most cases, Yoda would be the more likely victor. Vader wields absurd levels of Force power during his dark side prime that would certainly rival Yoda's own abilities, but likely not exceed them.
Harry and Draco were pretty much neck-and-neck when it comes to dueling and wand-related stuff. It was only until Harry got a hold of Snape's diary and channeled his Slytherin tendencies that he was able to win against Malfoy. As a result, he nearly killed Malfoy in The Half-Blood Prince.
Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
Unless you age up Harry to have the same level of experience as Snape it's a curb stomp in Snape's favour. We saw Harry try to duel Snape in Half-Blood Prince after Snape killed Dumbledore. Harry couldn't land a single hit even when using non-verbal magic and powerful Dark Magic against the Potions Master.
