To recap: Teddy Stillwell is the
The Boys season 3 revealed that Soldier Boy is his genetic father in a shocking twist, while Homelander also grew closer to his biological son, Ryan.
Series Information
Theodore "Teddy" Stillwell is the son of Madelyn Stillwell, the Senior Vice President of Vought International. He made his debut in The Boys' episode Get Some.
And that's without stepping into the fact that Ryan might well side with Billy Butcher if it came to that. Madelyn got herself pregnant using Homelander's genetic material. She would them basically have complete control of the child while also giving him a loving home.
That's one explanation, but perhaps the real reason Madelyn wanted to keep Homelander far away from Teddy is because he's the boy's father.
Season One
In You Found Me, she is held hostage by Butcher in hopes of angering Homelander. Homelander smiles and gently holds Stillwell's face, before his gentleness turns to rage and he shoots her in the head with his laser eyes, melting her face and killing her.
Homelander framed Butcher for Stillwell's death, saving the baby just adds an extra layer of pathos to the story.
Yup, Soldier Boy is Homelander's biological father. Suddenly all these daddy issues make a lot more sense. This character element isn't from the original The Boys comics, but was something Kripke and the writer's room came up with for the show.
The Boys season 3 revealed that Soldier Boy is Homelander's father (conceived via sperm Soldier Boy donated to Vought), but the identity of Homelander's mother still hasn't been revealed. His lack of a maternal figure is a clear cause of his Oedipal relationship with Madison Stillwell and his breast milk fixation.
Similar to their human counterparts, Supes are entirely capable of sexual reproduction. However, the children that are born from Supes will not necessarily inherit any super-abilities from their parent(s).
Teddy is alive." Seasons one and two also never addressed who the baby's father is, or if it even matters since Stillwell was raising him alone before her death.
Homelander admits that he and A-Train used Compound V to supercharge terrorists, much to Stillwell's shock. Homelander says that there are Supes that only The Seven can fight all over the globe now. Stillwell takes Homelander to her office, where the two have sexual intercourse.
Gumchum doesn't do anything else in the series besides off his fellow Supes gum. It's his sole purpose. He might be the worst hero in terms of powers and abilities in The Boys, as he's effectively useless in battle.
The most notable instance of Homelander's love is toward his son, Ryan. Of course, he hasn't been a perfect father figure — the scene of him pushing Ryan off the roof springs to mind — but there have been points where actor Antony Starr has given a convincing portrayal of a loving father.
The obvious next question is how Teddy developed superpowers in the first place. Given his mother's position at Vought, the most likely explanation is that Madelyn simply offered her own son for the Compound-V program. This would ultimately prove a wise choice, as Teddy would've died without superpowers.
Homelander and Soldier Boy have sex in the "Herogasm" stretch of #TheBoys comics, though that didn't happen in the Amazon series' take on the storyline. This week's episode explained why. "The Boys" star Jensen Ackles breaks down the major twist between Soldier Boy and Homelander revealed ahead of next week's finale.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
In The Boys comics, Mother's Milk is a supe named Baron Wallis who joins the team after accidentally killing a man in a boxing ring. His nickname derives from the fact that he depends on frequent breastfeeding from his mother, due to being born with traces of Compound V in his system.
Even though Soldier Boy could not take down Homelander with the help of Hughie and Butcher (Karl Urban) using temporary doses of Compound V, it was abundantly clear that he is still the closest anyone has been to the individual strength of Homelander.
Since he hates himself, Soldier Boy cannot help but despise Homelander for being "a disappointment" just like him, which explains why he refuses to join forces with him.
In the comic series, Noir is revealed to be a clone of the Homelander, created to replace him if he ever went rogue. Driven insane by a lack of purpose, Noir resolved to frame the Homelander for various atrocities as part of a plan to gradually drive him insane and replace him.
When Becca worked for Vought, she was sexually assaulted by Homelander. She became pregnant with his superhuman child, and knowing how dangerous Homelander was, she ran away and kept the child a secret.
Black Noir's Son is an infant supe conceived after Becky Butcher's rape at the hands of Black Noir (disguised as Homelander) and the reason for Billy Butcher's hatred of supes.
In theory, Soldier Boy should be able to kill Homelander, assuming his power affects Homelander the same way it affected Kimiko. But there's no guarantee; Homelander could get wind of the attempt and kill everybody before they try something.
