Yoda is widely considered to be the greatest Jedi of all time, and with good reason. He is a master of the Force, a skilled warrior, and has an unmatched wisdom that comes from centuries of experience. He is the embodiment of what it means to be a Jedi, and his legacy lives on long after his death.
Qui-Gon Jinn
The character reflected all the noble qualities of the Jedi, and parallels Master Yoda in many respects, including his teachings on patience.
Yoda. Is there anyone who would question why Master Yoda makes this greatest Jedi in the Star Wars list? Not only did he live the longest, survived Order 66, and understood The Force in ways that very few did, but he was also responsible for training some of the greatest Jedi in existence.
The very first Jedi in Star Wars canon is a nameless figure known as the Prime Jedi. He was likely the builder of the first Jedi Temple on Ahch-To, seen in The Last Jedi. Arguably, some of the rarest types of Jedi were the so-called Iron Knights. These are members of the Shards species - crystals with a brain of their own. They were Force-sensitive and all trained under the tutelage of Jedi Master Aqinos. The Shards had droid bodies, similar to that of General Grievous.
1 Darth Sidious
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
If we're to come to a definitive decision on who the strongest Jedi ever is then we have to consider more than their physical skills and strength. Master Windu could be the strongest Jedi ever, he's strong, trained, wise and proved his abilities in combat as well on the Jedi council.
Aside from agility and telekinesis, Yoda could absorb and redirect Force attacks, like lightning. Because of his higher understanding, he would easily overcome Darth Vader in a fight, though that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a difficult battle.
Unwilling to see his son die, Vader gave his life to save Luke, thereby dying as Anakin Skywalker. Anakin ultimately fulfilled his role as the Chosen One and brought balance to the Force, fulfilling Qui-Gon Jinn's belief in the prophecy that foretold Anakin's destiny.

That said, Vitiate, sometimes better known as the Sith Emperor, is often thought to have been stronger than Darth Sidious thanks to his mastery of the Dark Side of the force which granted him a ridiculously long life.
