Vitiate. Without a doubt, Vitiate was one of the most ruthless and powerful Sith Lords to have ever existed. His reign as Sith Emperor lasted for 1,300 years, so we won't go into too much detail.

Leader of the Dark Jedi, Ajunta Pall conquered Sith civilization and is known in Legends as being the very first Dark Lord of the Sith. No one came close to his skills in using the Dark Side of the force or in lightsaber combat. His battle against the Jedi was known as the Hundred-Year Darkness.
A Sith Lord with the ability to prevent death and create life, Plagueis is the mentor of Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious, who, in accordance to the Sith's Rule of Two, eventually betrays Plagueis by murdering him in his sleep, taking his place as Sith Master.
According to Darth Sidious, Darth Plagueis was a powerful Sith Lord who was able to use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life, a power that was reportedly to be extremely rare for one sensitive to the Force to possess, and could even be used by certain Sith Lords to prolong or even cheat death.
However, Sidious' plan backfired when Vader ultimately renounced the dark side and killed Sidious to protect Luke. Thus, with the Sith's destruction, the Force was brought back into balance, fulfilling Anakin's destiny as the prophesied Chosen One.
As impressive as Vader's battle tactics might be, if he and Revan make a stand with comparable armies, Revan is likely to be victorious. So, this point goes to Revan as well.
The Emperor Vitiate was a Sith Lord who successfully gained near immortality by draining the life force of an entire planet, later attempting to drain all life in the galaxy, which would give him true immortality.

In non-canon material it is said that Palpatine had a number of concubines and never took a wife in fear that he would produce a legitimate heir. One of these non-canon concubines was Roganda Ismaren, a former Jedi who survived Order 66, and lived for a time at Palpatine's side.
