Throughout, she is a strong, smart, and compassionate character, and her romantic chemistry with Banner is palpable. As aforementioned, that chemistry is comics-accurate. Betty Ross has been Bruce's primary love interest since Hulk first debuted in 1962's The Incredible Hulk #1.
Mantlo left the series for Alpha Flight and that series' writer John Byrne took over The Incredible Hulk. The final issue of Byrne's six issue run featured the wedding of Bruce Banner and Betty Ross.

Skaar is a fictional character, a comic book superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as a supporting character in stories featuring his father, the Hulk, who conceived Skaar with the extraterrestrial Caiera during the 2006–2007 "Planet Hulk" storyline.
Sadly, Hulk had kids (with She-Hulk, no less), and they were an evil gang that ruled by fear. While Wolverine was away on a mission for Hawkeye, the Hulk Gang showed up and killed his family. Hulk went after the gang and started to kill Hulk's kids until he finally got to Hulk himself -- who then ate Wolverine.

Betty told Bruce how she came back to life, and asked that Bruce leave her to die, but as soon as Doc Samson showed up, Betty's anger at his betrayal transformed her back into Red She-Hulk, healing her injuries; this time in control of her own mind, Betty helped Bruce reconcile with his son Skaar.
As a supervillain, she is an "evil"-version of She-Hulk in much the same way that Red Hulk is an "evil"-version of the Hulk. However, like Red Hulk, her powers work differently from She-Hulk in many ways, and she has striking red skin rather than the traditional green skin of gamma-born mutants.
During the Duel of Harlem, when Banner was released to fight the Abomination, Ross' life was saved by Hulk. Afterwards, she and Banner went their own separate ways. In 2018, Ross was a victim of Thanos' Snap, but was resurrected by Bruce Banner five years later.
