Kalki (Sanskrit: कल्कि), also called Kalkin or Kalki, is the prophesied tenth and final incarnation of the god Vishnu. He is described to appear in order to end the Kali Yuga, one of the four periods in the endless cycle of existence (Krita) in Vaishnava cosmology.
Brahma is the first god in the Hindu triumvirate, or trimurti. The triumvirate consists of three gods who are responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Vishnu and Shiva. Vishnu is the preserver of the universe, while Shiva's role is to destroy it in order to re-create.

He shall become renowned as Kalki, and shall be endowed with eight superhuman faculties.” Elsewhere Padma Purana (6.71. 279-282) relates that Lord Kalki will end the age of Kali and shall kill all the wicked mlecchas (demoniac and evil beings) and, thus, destroy the bad conditions of the world.

The present age is the Kal Yuga and it is believed that it will last for 432000 years. It is said that already 5000 years were passed from the battle of Kurukshetra. That means there are still 427000 years left and according to Srimad Bhagavatam the Lord Kalki will arrive at the end of the Kal Yuga.
We are in Dwapara Yuga, the energy age. Kali Yuga ended around 1700 C.E. and after a 200-Year transition period, we are now fully into Dwapara Yuga. This will last from 1900 C.E. to 3900 C.E., and then it will be followed by Treta Yuga (3000 Years) and Satya Yuga (4000 Years).

What will happen after the Kalki avatar of Lord Vishnu is departed? Satya Yuga will begin as confirmed by Bhagavat Purana.
Parashurama says to Kalki, “Shiva is my Guru, I have learned from Him. I will give all I have learned and you don't have to go to school for this.” Parashurama transfers the knowledge to Kalki, tells him that He has to learn more, and asks Him to worship Shiva. Kalki worshiped Shiva.
