Tim Storms (born August 28, 1972) is an American singer and composer. He holds the Guinness World Record for both the "lowest note produced by a human" and the "widest vocal range".
Since 2012, Tim Storms has held the world record for the lowest ever vocal note – that's a deliciously gravelly G -7 (0.189 Hz), which is eight octaves below the lowest G on the piano.
Consequently, singing voices for women are usually a little higher than for men, with the highest female voice (soprano) reaching C6 and the lowest one (contralto) going down to E3, while the highest male voice (countertenor, typically in falsetto) may hit E5, and the lowest one (bass) can drop down to E2.
CONTRALTO
The Contralto voice is the lowest among the female voices, and it is certainly more unique among females, as the typical female voices would probably either be the Soprano or Mezzo Soprano voices.
Check these ladies out. Contraltos are arguably the rarest of female voice types and they possess a tone so dark they often give the men a run for their money. If mezzos are like clarinets, contraltos are more like bass clarinets.
A countertenor is a male singer who can sing as high as a soprano or mezzo-soprano. The countertenor is the rarest of all voice types.
The alto is the lowest type of female voice. The typical alto range lies between F3 to F5, though there are those who can sing above or below this range. Those who can sing below are often called “contralto's” and can usually sing in a range similar to a tenor.
The lowest vocal note produced by a male is G -7 (0.189 Hz) and was achieved by Tim Storms (USA) at Citywalk Studios in Branson, Missouri, USA, on 30 March 2012.
The highest note on record is a G10 sung by Georgia Brown, a Brazilian dance/electric singer. You can hear it here (it's really something!). While a G10 is extreme, many of the coloraturas I know sing up to the 7th octave.
Research confirms that deep voices give men an aura of power and sexual allure. Men with low, resonant voices are more likely to be perceived as attractive, masculine, respectable, and dominant.
What is the average female vocal range? About 2 to 3 octaves, but for some artists it can reach further, such as Mariah Carey who has a 5-octave vocal range.
A singer named Tim Storms holds the Guinness record for hitting the lowest note. It's the musical note G-7, and it registered at 0.189 Hertz. He also holds the record for the widest vocal range, of 10 octaves!!
It's a skill that can be utilised in each of the registers, as well as travelling through them. Technically a brilliant singer. Mariah Carey's low range is dark and heavy, though the weakest part of her range.
Mezzo-Soprano
Despite her good technique, Gaga rarely enters the upper 5th octave. Within the upper 4th and lower 5th octave, Gaga shines (Million Reasons, God Bless America, Marry The Night), where a mezzo would. She also has comfort down low (Take a listen).

Contralto – Contralto and alto originally referred to the same voice. But some people today use “contralto” to refer to a female voice that is even lower than a typical alto.
Altos are usually mezzo-sopranos with a lower range of E3 to F5 and are used mostly in choral music. A famous alto role to think of would be Sally Bowles in Cabaret. A true alto, in operatic singing, would be classed as a contralto. This very rare voice type is the lowest female voice.
Nestled between the tenor and the soprano vocal ranges, the alto voice type sits in the middle of the road. Alto singers are primarily female, although they come from all styles of music and backgrounds. They continue to be some of the best vocalists in the industry today.
As a mezzo-soprano, Adele's songs sit in a range that suits most listeners, singing along. Adele can mix her chest voice up quite high (E5, 10 notes above middle C) but she is not taken to the range extremes of early Mariah or Celine.
What's Ariana Grande's Voice Type? Ariana is what we like to call a lyric coloratura soprano. Coloratura means she has a lot of agility with her vocal runs and trills, while lyric means that her high notes have a lot of power in them.
