Oddly enough, it's the boy wizard himself. She caused a scandal when she killed him off at the end of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but Albus Dumbledore is still the character JK Rowling would most like to have dinner with, the bestselling children's author has revealed.
Hermione Granger
Arguably the most famous female character in Harry Potter, Hermione was a dedicated student who always strived to be the best no matter what it took.
As Rowling explained in a series of tweets, Snape loved Harry's mother, Lily, and his unrequited affection drove him to resent Harry's father, James — and by extension, Harry himself.
A Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Snape is hostile to Harry due to his resemblance to his father James Potter, who bullied Snape during their time together at Hogwarts.
Dumbledore reveals how thoroughly he loves Harry. Harry is brave, and Dumbledore is proud as any father would be. More than that, Dumbledore succumbs to a parent's weakness; he cares more about Harry's happiness and wellbeing than the wizarding world he is trying to protect.
If Lily had chosen Severus, she wouldn't have defied and escaped Lord Voldemort(thrice), then Voldemort would have been left with one choice... Neville Longbottom, the child of parents who have defied Lord Voldemort thrice and who was born on closing day of July, and have the powers which Voldy had not...
Hermione: Better At Everything Else
Harry achieves a higher mark in their Defense Against The Dark Arts O.W.L., but Hermione grades higher in every other lesson. This includes Charms, Potions, and Transfiguration, all complicated methods of magic capable of overwhelming Harry's defensive skills.
Lord Voldemort
Tom Marvolo Riddle started both Wizarding Wars, created the Death Eaters and killed Harry Potter's parents. We could go on – he was the most dangerous Dark wizard of all time – but we won't. His horrific achievements are well known.
Ginny Weasley
The youngest Weasley child and only daughter wasn't just Harry Potter's love interest, she was an extremely capable witch who arguably had more power than her famous partner.
Nobody can deny that Hermione Granger is the smartest character in Harry Potter, gender notwithstanding. She is consistently the best student in every year, earning extraordinary marks in all her exams and ten OWLS.
Bellatrix Lestrange (née Black) is a fictional character in the Harry Potter book series written by J. K. Rowling. She evolved from an unnamed periphery character in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire into a major antagonist in subsequent novels.
Hermione Granger
Her immense bravery and intellect were crucial in the defeat of Voldemort.
Godrick Gryffindor, one of the four founders of Hogwarts, and the owner of the legendary Sword of Gryffindor, was absolutely more powerful than Dumbledore— and it's a good thing he was, too, because Dumbledore wasn't around in Hogwarts' early days to keep Godrick's fellow founder Salazar Slytherin in check.
Harry's other best friend, the bookish and kind Hermione Granger can't be beaten in the classroom. Harry recognizes her as his year's best student and even said so at some point. But while Hermione can ace any test, she can't quite keep up with Harry on the battlefield.
12 More Powerful: Severus Snape
He was the Half-Blood Prince, as well as the maker of several powerful spells. Severus Snape might have pretended to serve Voldemort (while in fact, as we all know, working as a double agent for Dumbledore), but there's almost no question he was more powerful than the Dark Lord.
HERMIONE: GINNY WEASLEY
Hermione and Ginny are definitely an underrated couple that could have been great together. These two are actually really good friends, even if their friendship doesn't get as much focus because most of the book is from Harry's perspective.
This fact is explicitly stated during his falling out with Ron in fourth year. When Hermione accuses him of missing Ron, Harry denies it, but admits to himself that while he "... liked Hermione very much, she just wasn't the same as Ron.
Of the two of them, it was Hermione who realized she liked Ron first as she dropped heavy hints in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire of her attraction.
And although she was one of the few people at Hogwarts who was entirely unimpressed by him, her fellow Gryffindor James Potter was also deeply infatuated with her as well. Obviously Lily ultimately chose James Potter over Severus Snape, and Lily and James got married and had their only child, Harry Potter.
Snape calls Lily a Mudblood, Lily tells James that she would never date him because he's an egotistical jerk. Later, Snape tries to apologize for calling Lily a Mudblood, but she's not interested; she ends their friendship due to his association with Death Eaters.
