Mulan Is Loyal/Merida Is Brave (Disney Princess)
1. Mulan. Volunteering to join the army in order to save her father being forced into conscription, Fa Mulan's act of kindness was showing pure selflessness.
Rapunzel — Tangled
She constantly surprises herself, and everyone around her, with her optimism and dedication. Rapunzel not only overcomes the odds in finding herself, achieving her dreams and saving Eugene from death.
All the Disney princesses are loved, but Princess Ariel just might be the most loved of all the princesses. Her sweet and charismatic character won the hearts of every Disney fan around the world. Plus, she's a mermaid who can sing and then some.
Belle is one of the smartest, bravest, and most tender-hearted characters the Disney company has ever created, and her story becomes more and more relevant all the time.
Snow White is the pioneer of the Disney Princess, and she is probably the most memorable. She embodies everything you think of when you think of a princess: pure innocence, beauty, kindness and grace. This is why she is number one on our list.
1. Scar ('The Lion King')
Dumbo. As the least vocal main character in Disney's entire film library (Dumbo never speaks in the film named for him!), you'd think this pachyderm would at least get more of a chance to shine in the Disney parks.
Easily, the most loyal superhero in the MCU is Captain America. Steve Rogers wanted nothing more than to defend his country and became the Star Spangled Avenger to do so. He risked his life, time and time again, to save the world, both in the war and as a member of The Avengers.
Someone who is loyal is reliable and always true, like your trusty dog. Loyal comes from the Old French word loial which means something like "legal," but if someone is only loyal to you because the law requires him to be, that's not true loyalty, which should come from the heart, not a contract.
Jasmine is the only Disney princess to kiss a villain.
Belle. And, of course, there is Belle, who is book smart and street smart. As everyone knows, she loves literature, and reading expands vocabularies, opens up creativity, and provides information. This princess also has the knowledge needed to deal with slime balls, saves fathers and transforms beasts into true loves.
1848. Princess Sophia, the twelfth child of George and Charlotte, was born on November 3, 1777. During her life she was rumored to have an illegitimate child, possibly with her father's chief equerry, Major-General Thomas Garth. She never married, and died on May 27, 1848 at age 70.
This results in Snow White being the least-liked Disney princess of all time.
Rapunzel (Tangled)
While all of the Disney Princesses are likable in their own way, it is Rapunzel who really is the nicest of the bunch. She is someone who has endless energy and passion and is constantly looking for an adventure once she finally gets out of her tower.
8 Diablo - 'Sleeping Beauty' (1959)
Diablo was created to give Maleficent something to interact with, and his inspiration was taken from the raven familiar of the Evil Queen (Lucille La Verne) in Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. Though he doesn't speak, his animation encapsulates how much he adores serving Maleficent.
Goofy is considered Walt Disney's favorite character. He is a clumsy and gangly dog that first appeared in the 1932 film, Mickey's Revue. Goofy is known for his slapstick comedy style, and you'll almost always find him alongside his friends, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
The copyright on Mickey Mouse will expire just next year in 2024, 95 years after his first appearance, sending him to the public domain. This copyright applies explicitly to the very first iteration of Mickey Mouse in his animation debut, Steamboat Willie (1928).
