Game of Thrones never explicitly revealed who Tommen's rightful heir to the Iron Throne was after his death, with
As I have explained here, Cersei was in fact the heir to Tommen, and not because she was Queen Mother & Queen Regent to two Kings… but because she was a Baratheon.
He reigned from 301 AC until his suicide in 303 AC, and was succeeded by his mother, Queen Cersei I Lannister. He was formally styled as Tommen of the House Baratheon, the First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm.
After his death, Robert's bastards are ordered to be killed by his heir Joffrey Baratheon, Robert's supposed legal heir and the new king; Gendry, subsequently flees the capital.
So yes, Myrcella is Tommen's heir. And after her they would probably have to have a Great Council and either restore Stannis or find another Baratheon relative to inherit. Will Tommen and Myrcella die?
It was during the show-around, trying to win Margery's heart by telling her gruesome stories, Joffrey spoils House of the Dragon for us. In the episode of Game of Thrones, Joffrey says: “Rhaenyra Targaryen was murdered by her brother, or rather his dragon. It ate her while her son watched.
The rightful heir to the Iron Throne was Viserys' first-born son but sadly his child perishes not long after birth. With the baby dead, Viserys' named heir was Daemon but he lost his place as the chosen successor when he slighted his deceased infant rival.
Daemon Targaryen is Viserys Targaryen's younger brother, and begins House of the Dragon as the heir to the Iron Throne. As we see in episode 1, however, Viserys decides that his daughter Rhaenyra is a more suitable heir, disqualifying Daemon's traditional right to become king.
Rhaenyra Targaryen, the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, briefly considered bending the knee to her half-brother King Aegon II in the Season 1 finale of House of the Dragon, thus sparing the citizens of Westeros years of dragon fire and bloodshed.
First of all, the throne is rightfully hers. Rhaenyra is proclaimed heir by the king himself, and all the lords of Westeros (and not only Westeros) pledge allegiance to her. Each lord declares fealty to him and Rhaenyra as his named heir.
Just moments before Margaery Tyrell was killed in the wildfire explosion orchestrated by Cersei Lannister in the finale of the last Game of Thrones' season, she realized that something wasn't right. However, Natalie Dormer—who played the fan-favorite queen—had long expected her character's fate.
Game of Thrones: Season 2
Cersei acquires a bottle from Pycelle when readying for the Battle of the Blackwater. Cersei almost uses the poison on Tommen, to prevent him from being captured when the battle seems lost.
The sex scene in season five was a cringeworthy watch for viewers due to the age gap between Tommen and Margaery - with the young Lannister king aged around 12 or 13 while his new wife was many years older.
But in terms of actual birthright, it was Jon Snow — a.k.a. Aegon Targaryen, the trueborn son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark — who had the greatest claim to the throne.
Aerys Targaryen, the Second of His Name, was a King of Westeros and the last member of House Targaryen to sit the Iron Throne. His reign became increasingly erratic and murderous.
That's right, during the Oct. 2 episode of House of the Dragon, Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) and Daemon (Matt Smith) stopped fighting their feelings for one another and finally got together. However, this was more than just an illicit liaison, as Rhaenyra and Daemon got married at the end of the episode.
Viserys tells his daughter, Princess Rhaenyra, that Aegon “foresaw the end of the world of men. It is to begin with a terrible winter, gusting out of the distant North.
Aegon II's quick but viscerally brutal slaying of Queen Rhaenyra doesn't seem to do her justice.
House of the Dragon's Daemon Is the Most Powerful Targaryen.
9 Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen Is Jon Snow's Seventh Great-Grandmother. Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen is one of the most important characters in House of the Dragon. After her uncle Daemon was banished from King's Landing, Rhaenyra was named heir to the Iron Throne by her father.
Technically, Rhaenyra is Daenerys's sixth great grandmother and Jon's seventh great grandmother. That also makes Daenerys and Jon the direct descendants of Daemon, Rhaenyra's uncle/second husband.
She was brought to her brother Aegon II, who branded her a traitor of the realm. She was executed by his command. In a grisly and sadistic lesson, he had her body fed to his dragon as her son Aegon III watched.
In Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin, Rhaenyra does indeed take the Iron Throne and become queen over the Seven Kingdoms, however, her reign is short-lived.
Rhaenyra Targaryen Takes the Iron Throne, but Only For a Moment. While the Green forces were away from King's Landing, they foolishly left the capital sparsely protected. That allowed Rhaenyra and Daemon to easily take the city, where she sat on the Iron Throne for half-a-year.
