Although his brother Klaus might technically be stronger — Klaus is half vampire, half werewolf — Elijah is the most powerful. Other traits to note: He is level-headed. He is beyond elegant with his words (and pronounces Elena "E-lena"). He's so powerful that he's feared even though we've yet to see his fangs.
Even though Klaus will go down as one of the most powerful vampires in television history, there are plenty of TV vampires from other TV shows (and some from his own) that are stronger than the Original Vampire. Hope Mikaelson ended up being one of the most powerful supernatural beings in the Tvd universe.
On The Originals, the Mikaelsons are the oldest vampires in the world. However, it isn't a member of the family who is the most powerful. The Originals focuses on the first family of virtually indestructible vampires, but Marcel Gerard is the strongest vampire on the series.
Mikael has proved many times that he's stronger than Klaus, and of course much more powerful than his other children. Many fans have questioned this detail, but it makes sense. Mikael was already a revered Viking warrior when he was turned by Esther into an original vampire, while Klaus was an untriggered werewolf.
Elijah is a somewhat better fighter when it comes to skill in hand to hand combat which is what gave him the advantage to stand toe-to-toe with Klaus during these fights for certain periods of time. Klaus is more raw power which is what he often uses to overwhelm Elijah and his other siblings.
Of all the Original siblings, Klaus was the most dominant. He was the first ever vampire and werewolf Hybrid, and the combination of two deadly races meant Klaus was unbeatable for a long time. By virtue of being the oldest vamp, he was super fast and strong, with the ability to compel even vampires to do his bidding.
Season Two. Damon kills Elijah with a stake through his heart. When Damon tried to save Stefan from losing his head, he staked Elijah.
Advanced Original Vampire Physiology: As an Original Vampire, Elijah held tremendous physical power far greater than most other supernatural beings, he was one of the most powerful supernatural beings in the TVD/TO universe.
Klaus Mikaelson
However, once he became the only Original Hybrid in the world, Klaus' combined strengths turned him into the greatest supernatural creature in the entire TVD universe. It's interesting that he is both a villain and hero in this series.
Bonnie: When She Took Down Klaus
In the season 2 episode “The Last Dance”, Bonnie proves that no one is stronger than her. After Alaric is possessed by Klaus, Bonnie channels all her magic to defeat him. She further defeats Klaus in season 2 episode 22.
Niklaus Mikaelson
The most dangerous of the family and also possibly the Big Good of the protagonist villains of the Originals. Klaus is a sadistic person who has always wanted one thing - power. He is a werewolf-vampire hybrid, making him the most powerful supernatural being in the vampire universe.
The Vampire Elders, also known as Grand Elders and Great Elders, are the three leaders and rulers of the entire vampire population and the most powerful of their kind. The original Elders are the three oldest known Vampires. These three Vampires are Marcus Corvinus, Viktor, and Amelia.
Freya Was the Best Mikaleson Sibling
Freya being the best Mikaelson sibling is a no-brainer. However, for additional arguments, here is Freya's backstory to refresh our minds and some valid points to prove what we all know. Esther was initially barren, which led her to strike a deal with her evil sister Dahlia.
Most current vampires trace their lineage to a distant common ancestor, the vampire god Maacah.
Klaus, as an original vampire and a hybrid, is much older and more powerful than Damon. Klaus sired many vampires, and he is Damon's vampire ancestor. Klaus' power is proven when Damon is bitten, and his hybrid blood saves Damon.
Elijah was born between October 977 to early 978 making him at most 24. Klaus is about 3-4 years younger and according to a s2 flashback on tvd he was possibly born around March (but that could be ignored) making him at most 20, since if Elijah is 24 he would have just turned so.
Klaus is far more powerful than Silas because he's physically the second most powerful thing walking the planet (behind the Beast of the prophecy). Silas wasn't even as strong as a vampire, he's barely stronger than a human.
See, Klaus is an Original Hybrid. That means he is partly an Original vampire (with all the superhuman speed, strength, senses and reflexes of one), partly a werewolf (with the venomous bite and a transformation that he can control at will).
Elijah: Because He's Unpredictable
Pretty much every time someone is hurt or killed by Elijah, they don't even know that he's coming for them, and that seems to make him the most predatory and intimidating member of the Original family.
Elijah, being an original vampire, is much faster than non-Original vampires. Original vampires move much faster than any non-original vampires, werewolves (transformed or not), non-original werewolf-vampire hybrids, humans, or animals.
Hope's level of magic may have increased to around two hundred regular witches if managing to tap into the power of her Original Vampiric blood which taints her magic with dark energy that she can also channel to perform dark spells without needing a sacrifice.
As a vampire/werewolf hybrid, Klaus can only be killed by a witch. The sun and moon curse was fake – the real curse is that Klaus's werewolf side had been forced into dormancy by witches.
However, when the confrontation happens, Elijah betrays them because Klaus tells him he'll reunite Elijah with their family. Wanting to believe this to be true and wanting nothing more than to be with his family again, Elijah naively fails to kill Klaus. Klaus, in turn, winds up daggering Elijah.
Elijah Mikaelson - 26+ Kills
With his signature suit, proper manners, and dedication to his family, he tries his best to do what's right.
The story of Sekhmet, the Egyptian feline warrior goddess associated with both plague and healing, is considered by some to be one of the oldest vampire tales. Legend holds that the sun god, Ra, sent his daughter Sekhmet down to punish humankind for their disobedience.
