Antonin Dolohov is one of the most skilled duelers among the Death Eaters. He was able to defeat Mad Eye Moody in the duel at the Department of Mysteries in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It took the combined efforts of Harry Potter and Sirius Black to defeat him.
1. Strongest: Bellatrix Lestrange. Everyone's favorite Death Eater was also arguably Voldemort's most talented. Although her dueling skills were of the most impressive of all of her colleagues, her unyielding support of the Dark Lord is what gave her edge.
Peter Pettigrew
Though he is accomplished in some ways, he is arguably one of the weakest wizards. Through his time in school he is described as latching on to Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and James Potter as stronger wizards he believed could protect him.
Because he lost the favor of Voldemort who held infinite more power and control over everything including his family and most importantly his dear son who was seemingly sent on a suicide mission due to Lucius' failures.
Lord Voldemort may have been the ultimate villain of the "Harry Potter" series, but Bellatrix Lestrange was evil, sadistic, and worst of all, always striving for the Dark Lord's love and respect.
The plain answer is no.
According to the majority of the users on the platform, Imelda Staunton's Dolores Umbridge takes home the award for the scariest Harry Potter character, and for good reason — not only is she blatantly evil as she is extremely unnerving.
Formerly known as Tom Marvolo Riddle, Lord Voldemort was the most formidable evil wizard in the entire universe. Until Harry Potter, Voldemort's magical prowess was practically unmatched, and no one could stand a chance against him.
Of all of the Death Eaters that appear in Harry Potter, there's no doubt that Bellatrix is the most evil. In addition to the fact that she was selflessly devoted to Voldemort and his mission (in fact, she was obsessed with him), she also showed that there was no depth of cruelty or malice to which she would not sink.
There were a few members of the Death Eaters that Voldemort valued above others. Of course, Bellatrix and Snape were easily his favorites, but the Carrow siblings were up there as well. There are many instances that prove that Voldemort appreciated Amycus and Alecto Carrow.
Winner: Snape
The kind of versatility in magical abilities that Snape displayed was almost around the level of Albus Dumbledore and Voldemort, making him easily more powerful than the average wizard and even the members of the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters.
Credit: Warner Bros. Reddit user Woofph (AKA Zach Hansen) created an impressive — and very long — thread explaining his fan theory after re-reading the entire Harry Potter book series. His theory says that the most beloved half-giant, Rubeus Hagrid, was actually an undercover Death Eater working for Voldemort!
Of these named Death Eaters, only Bellatrix Lestrange and Alecto Carrow are women.
If money is power, Lucius Malfoy is the most powerful man in the Wizarding World. Unfortunately, as the later books show us, money is in fact not power and Lucius suffers immensely despite his ludicrous wealth. Lucius ends up such a weak Death Eater, he has his wand stripped from him.
Voldemort was the overarching villain of the whole Harry Potter series. His despicable plan to rid the Wizarding World of "Mudbloods" began a decades-long fight. Voldemort cared for nothing and no one but himself. His greatest wish was for people to fear him above all else.
Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes), aka Tom Riddle, was described by Dumbledore as one of the best students ever to graduate Hogwarts as well as "the most dangerous Dark wizard of all time." Before he had even learned about the existence of the Wizarding world, he was terrorizing his fellow orphans with impressive but ...
Voldemort also made for a strong overarching antagonist, driven to rid the world of Harry Potter, who was destined to cause his downfall. Voldemort's origins were slowly revealed in the novels, providing details into his past and how he became the Dark Lord that the Wizarding World feared.
Number one on the list of the best Harry Potter characters is Hermione Granger. Emma Watson's portrayal of the bright, mature, and brave young wizard is spot-on and an incredible performance given how young Watson was at the time the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, was released.
Severus Snape, Horace Slughorn, Andromeda Tonks, Narcissa Malfoy and Regulus Black were all Slytherin heroes in their own way, if you think about it. And Merlin – as in, yes, King Arthur's advisor and the most famous wizard in history – was a Slytherin.
Albus Dumbledore
Headmaster Dumbledore's inspired leadership of the Hogwarts School, always encouraging each student to do his or her best, and to tap into their own unique gifts and talents. Also, Dumbledore always had the courage to lead and protect Harry on his quest to defeat Lord Voldemort.
Lucius and Draco's crimes were forgiven due to their abandonment of Voldemort and his cause and Narcissa's lie to the Dark Lord that saved Harry Potter's life in the Forbidden Forest in the Battle of Hogwarts. None of them served time in Azkaban.
The Malfoys are able to avoid serving time in Azkaban, as they provide evidence that helps the Ministry track down the Death Eaters who had fled after the war. It is also probable that, since Narcissa's lie to Voldemort saved Harry's life, the family is pardoned for their crimes.
Voldemort intentionally made six Horcruxes, but when he used Avada Kedavra on Harry, he unintentionally created a seventh Horcrux. Instead of dying, Lily's love for Harry created a counter 'curse' known as Sacrificial Protection and saved Harry.
