When it comes to pure strength, Shinobu Kocho is the weakest Hashira in Demon Slayer. She doesn't even have enough strength to decapitate a demon's head and she makes up for it by injecting poison into the demons.
8 Shinobu Kocho, The Insect Hashira
That being said, she's arguably the weakest Hashira when it comes to pure strength.
It was still impressive, nonetheless, and even with the injuries he sustained, Giyu managed to contribute a lot in the final fight against Muzan and ended up as one of the few Hashira to survive the fight. All in all, Giyu very clearly stands among the strongest Hashira in the series.
Demon Slayer's Tengen Uzui is considered to be one of the weakest Hashira due to almost losing this fight, but the fact is that Tengen only looks weak when compared to the most overpowered Hashira.
From the character popularity polls, Giyuu is the Hashira who manages to rank the highest among the others.
Mitsuri is the current Love Hashira. She has a unique breathing technique, so she's undoubtedly slain several enemies during her time in the Corps.
1. Gyomei Himejima. Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons.
Tengen Uzui
Even though he is large and muscular, and uses that to his advantage, his fighting style relies more on aesthetics and flashiness. He is the fastest Hashira, and the second physically strongest.
Obanai Iguro is one of the harsher Hashira members. He demanded that Giyuu be punished for allowing Nezuko to get away unharmed, and later restrained Tanjiro as he tried to help his sister. He hates demons and has little regard for his fellow Hashira, except Mitsuri Kanroji later on.
Giyu was the first Hashira to be introduced in the series, making his debut in the very first episode. After rescuing Tanjiro from the newly transformed demon Nezuko, Giyu prepares to execute her as he would any other demon.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
After awakening his demon slayer mark, Giyu greatly overpowers Akaza. However, he is able to keep up with the fight only because of Tanjiro. If Giyu had soloed against Akaza, he would have died.
Giyu is one of the legendary Hashira, and he's brought down demons far more powerful than Nezuko. With his level of skill and impressive agility, he'd easily defeat Tanjiro's little sister. In fact, when Giyu first meets Tanjiro and Nezuko, he almost does kill the latter.
The secret to Gyomei's powers is that they are governed, regulated and enhanced by his emotional capabilities. So in a sense, his crying is a sign of his strength rather than weakness. As a gentle giant, Gyomei's character can be seen as a deconstruction of what makes a person strong in Demon Slayer.
1) Kyojuro Rengoku
Kyojuro Rangoku is the Flame Hashira that was loved by the entire fanbase. His enthusiasm and an unwavering sense of justice enabled him to become the man that he was. Unfortunately, Rengoku was killed by Akaza, the Upper Moon 3.
He uses the Breath of Stone (岩の呼吸 Iwa no Kokyu) and is considered the strongest out of the Pillars. He is also the tallest out of all the Pillars. Gyomei has a long scar running horizontally across his forehead caused by demons and no pupils since he is blind.
The Wind Hashira has one of the saddest backstories in Demon Slayer. His mother had turned into a demon and had killed five of his siblings. He was forced to kill his own mother in an attempt to save his only remaining brother, Genya.
Gyōmei Himejima (悲鳴嶼 行冥, Himejima Gyōmei) is a supporting character in the 2016-2020 fantasy dark manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is the Stone Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. He is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita (Japanese) and Crispin Freeman (English).
It is later revealed in an extra chapter that he cries extremely easily at almost anything, even crying for something as minor as when the garbage is messy. He was taught by a fellow monk. Gyomei loves cats, a trait he has in common with the Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji.
Unfortunately, many fan-favorite characters didn't survive in Demon Slayer, and the Hashira certainly weren't an exception. Demon Slayer's nine Hashira are humanity's last line of defense against the vicious demons that rule the night.
Rengoku's fight in the Mugen Train arc showed his incredible speed and reflexes. He was able to match Akaza's speed, and his movements were so fast that it was almost impossible for the naked eye to keep up. Tengen, meanwhile, is the fastest runner out of all the Hashira.
But, comparing the two characters in their best forms, Zenitsu might be just a tad bit faster owing to his Godspeed move.
1 Muzan Kibutsuji
The Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji has seven hearts and five brains, making him one of the most intelligent characters in the Demon Slayer anime series.
Tanjuro Kamado was the name of Tanjiro Kamado's father. He passed away before the event of the main story of the Demon Slayer. It is not mentioned how long Tanjuro had passed before the story, but in several flashback scenes, we can see him interacting with a younger Tanjiro.
