After being attacked and severely injured by a wampa ice creature on the frigid planet of Hoth, Commander Luke Skywalker was put into a bacta tank so he could recover from his wounds.
So who's in the bacta tank? It's a little hard to make out, but it's Cobb Vanth. Yes indeed, the marshal of Freetown is very much alive. Olyphant's character made his “Star Wars” debut in “The Mandalorian” Season 2, and he made an immediate impact.
Boba prefers to sleep in a bacta tank to relieve his mind and body from all the injuries he sustained in his battles. The only time that Boba can stop is when he's healed.
Cad Bane, everyone's favorite blue-skinned bounty hunter, was killed in episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett. He had a short appearance in the live-action series, facing Boba Fett in a Western-style duel that resulted in his death, or so we thought.
Boba dropped a tantalising hint as to what the post-credit sting would be at the very end of the episode when he said, “someone was using his bacta tank”. After the credits, it's revealed to be none other than Cobb Vanth, who's healing in the chamber's goo.
As Bane prepared to fire upon Fett one last time, Fett swung at him with his gaderffii stick, knocking him away. Fett then knocked Bane to the ground, and, in a final blow, stabbed him in the chest with the stick's bladed end, taking out the infamous bounty hunter almost immediately.
Cad Bane was born in 62 BBY and died in 9 ABY, making him 71 years old at the time of his death. Cad Bane was originally set to appear in an unused Clone Wars arc set on Tattooine teaming up with Boba Fett on a "rescue mission".
Plus, while he specialized in fighting Jedi and was able to hold his own, Cad Bane only killed one Jedi (that we know of), Jedi Master Ropal via torture droid.
After he was stabbed, Boba Fett walks away and you can hear beeping coming from Cad Bane's chest. People are speculating that the beeping is either a heart monitor that did not end, or its a transponder that went off, alerting Cad Bane's trusty droid Todo 360 to come and rescue him.
At the moment, Disney has not made any official announcements regarding a potential season 2 for The Book of Boba Fett, and with so much Star Wars content being planned down the line, even in 2023, it would seem counterintuitive to think that would be the case.
History. Bacta tanks already existed during the Clone Wars, when the Galactic Republic used them to treat its injured soldiers. A bacta tank was located in Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar, where the Dark Lord would relax and meditate outside of his life support armor with a modicum of comfort.
While seemingly killed in Return of the Jedi after falling into a sarlacc, he has since appeared in Star Wars media set after the film, confirming his survival.
The Bacta tank is a fictional healing device from the Star Wars universe, and it is not capable of healing all injuries. Bacta tanks are pretty magic, but they're not that magic. Simply put, Vader's wounds were far too serious for bacta to heal entirely.
Yup. In fact he was nearly blown up by him. Anakin Skywalker was aware of Boba after the Battle of Geonosis, but he didn't really pay attention until later in the Clone Wars.
Despite its highly regenerative properties, some individuals harbored negative feelings towards the substance, finding its viscosity somewhere between liquid and slime. Additionally, most bacta patients felt as if they were being swallowed alive upon being submerged in the substance.
Episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett ends with the titular bounty hunter (Temuera Morrison) winning the war for Tatooine, and then fans are treated to a bonus scene after the credits roll featuring none other than the Marshall of Freetown, Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant).
Trained by Jango Fett, Bane is cold, cruel, and was willing to take any job no matter how sinister. He was often employed by Darth Sidious and the Hutts. He was so wily and strategic that he often outwitted the Jedi, and became known as one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy.
Cad bane most likely knew that there were two Sith, especially since he took on jobs for both Count Dooku and Sidious (He took on a job for Dooku by kidnapping the chancellor, and Sidious for stealing the Jedi Holocron.)
Legacy. After his death, Jango Fett's clones told themselves a different story of his death. They believed that he was unaware of Count Dooku's treason and was unwilling to malign his honor by going back on his word, and killed twelve Jedi Masters before being killed himself.
Ahsoka Had the Highest Kill Count of the Clone Wars
Ahsoka is known for being one of the more pacifistic Jedi, to the point where she refused to kill any Clones during Order 66. But when it comes to destroying battle droids, Ahsoka is far in the lead with a staggering 4 million kills throughout The Clone Wars.
Back when Boba Fett was still basically a child, The Clone Wars revealed that he'd been imprisoned by the Republic along with other bounty hunters and general scum and villainy. Circa 20 BBY, one of Fett's prison inmates was Cad Bane at a time when Bane was about 42 years old and Fett was about 12.
Boba Fett
The reason we think about Star Wars bounty hunters at all, Boba Fett was always destined to be number one on this list. From his armor to his ship to his ability to take on Jedi with only the help of his suit, Boba is one of the coolest characters in the entire Star Wars universe.
A small scene from Bane's unfinished arc was released in a pre-production format, revealing that Cad Bane would have mentored a young Boba Fett. But Bane's latest appearance in The Book of Boba Fett showed that the two had long since parted ways, both physically and ideologically.
