Bellatrix Lestrange was Voldemort's most loyal Death Eater.
They (despite never having seen Spaceballs) make a rational assumption that Voldemort will win based on his power/history. And they want to be on the winning side. They agree with Death Eaters/Voldemort's politics (wizards should rule over Muggles, stronger wizards should rule over weaker ones).
Voldemort's favorite was likely Lucuis Malfoy before the Propechy, and Barty Crouch Jr. afterwards. Voldemort's favorite would have been his most useful supporter. For the most loyal, it is a toss up.
Strongest: Corban Yaxley. Corban Yaxley was one of Voldemort's favorite servants. He was often chosen to go on secret missions for the Dark Lord, including the attempt to convert Horace Slughorn. Yaxley was proficient at coercion, manipulation, and the Imperius Curse.
Snape's fierce devotion to and love of his childhood friend Lily, Harry's mother, is the foundation of that loyalty. After Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Snape's loyalty was a matter of intense debate among the fans.
It has been said that the only wizard he ever feared was Albus Dumbledore, former Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, though Voldemort has repeatedly denied it.
In the second book, Rowling establishes that Voldemort hates non-pure-blood wizards, despite being a half-blood himself.
Why is he incapable of love? Eventually, J.K. Rowling revealed to us that the reason Voldemort is unable to feel love is because he was conceived under the influence of a love potion.
Rowling commented that "The moment Draco got what he thought he wanted, to become a Death Eater, and given a mission by Lord Voldemort, as he did in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, reality finally hit him" because his dream was "so very different".
Xenophilius Lovegood betrays Harry in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The Death Eaters have Xenophilius' daughter, Luna.

But Snape didn't have time to get too deeply into that. Later in the year, Dumbledore revealed that Harry was in fact a Horcrux, meaning that he would eventually have to die. Now, as firmly established, Snape was not the greatest fan of Harry, but that didn't mean that he ever stopped loving Lily.
As a term of respect, the Death Eaters would often refer to Lord Voldemort as "The Dark Lord." Voldemort demanded this, as making his name a forbidden word was a great way to instill a sense of insecurity and duty amongst his ranks. Essentially, he wanted them to worship him.
