During these events, Odin faces off against Fenrir the Wolf and loses. Fenrir actually swallows Odin, ending Odin's life. Odin is not the only god to perish during Ragnarok. Thor and Loki, among others, also perish during Ragnarok.
Just as Thor begins to repent for his sins and heed Kratos' plea to be a better god, Odin appears and kills Thor. Kratos, Freya and Atreus then battle and defeat Odin. Atreus uses Giant magic to trap Odin's spirit in a marble, then Sindri appears, snatches the marble and smashes it to bits with a hammer.

All things considered, Zeus is certainly on Odin's level, so as long as Marvel portrays him accurately, he should be one of the MCU's most powerful characters.
Loki and Heimdall kill each other
Loki and Heimdall are frequently implied to be enemies in Old Norse texts, there's even mention of the two turning into seals to fight each other. The rivalry comes to a head in Ragnarok when Heimdall kills Loki.
Surviving gods
Hoenir, Magni, Modi, Njord, Vidar, Vali, and the daughter of Sol are all stated to survive Ragnarok. All of the remaining Æsir then reunite at Ithavllir. Baldr and Hod return from the underworld - Baldr having been killed by Hod, and Hod by Vali, before Ragnarok.
In chapter 51, High foretells that, during Ragnarök, the wolf Fenrir will devour Odin, and Víðarr will avenge him by stepping down with one foot on the lower jaw of the monster, grabbing his upper jaw in one hand and tearing his mouth apart, killing him.
After the gods and the monsters and giants were all vanquished, Lif and Lifthrasir would worship the god Balder, son of Odin, who would rise up from the dead after Ragnarok to rule in a new heaven.
While Odin was strong during his prime, Thor was just naturally stronger than him. They don't call Thor the mightiest out of all of the Asgardians for nothing because he is actually a lot stronger than his father in terms of his physical capabilities.
Unable to kill his own daughter, Odin defeated Hela and imprisoned her using his own power to keep her at bay in another realm for eons.
Odin's self-sacrifice
He sacrificed his eye in Mimir's well and he threw himself on his spear Gungnir in a kind of symbolic, ritual suicide. He then hanged himself in Yggdrasil, the tree of life, for nine days and nine nights in order to gain knowledge of other worlds and be able to understand the runes.
One of the key rivals Kratos had in the God of War series is Alrik, who is the leader of the Barbarians. Alrik has a bone to pick with Kratos as the Spartan leader supposedly killed his father. Despite dying after battling with Kratos, Alrik escapes the underworld to give Kratos one of the hardest fights in his life.
Odin's fight can be tough because Kratos will have no time to truly prepare for the fight. As soon as the battle with Thor comes to an end, the fight with Odin begins. With that in mind, follow these general guidelines: The fight with Odin takes place over two stages.
Zeus, however, weakened Kratos and tricked him into abandoning his godly powers into the Blade of Olympus, which Zeus used to kill Kratos. Although he overcame all obstacles, Kratos was stunned at Zeus's betrayal and swore revenge as he died.
