Maternal incest Some modern scholars, such as Bergsma and Hahn, have suggested that Ham engaged in intercourse with his mother, Noah's wife. Support for this theory can be found in verses such as Leviticus 20:11: "And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness".
Isaac met Rebekah there, and when he learned all that the servant had done, Isaac brought Rebekah into the tent of his mother and married her. Like his father Abraham, God has blessed Isaac with a beautiful wife. However his wife, like his mother, is barren.
In Genesis 9:20–27, Ham saw his father Noah's nakedness. The Talmud suggests that Ham may have sodomized Noah (Babylonian Talmud Sanhedrin 70a). In more recent times, some scholars have suggested that Ham may have had intercourse with his father's wife.
"`No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the LORD. "`Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her.
Ostensibly, Tamar is only waiting for Shelah to grow up and mate with her. But after time passes, she realizes that Judah is not going to effect that union. She therefore devises a plan to secure her own future by tricking her father-in-law into having sex with her. She is not planning incest.
The tragic story of David and Bathsheba is told in 2 Samuel 11-12:25. At David's instigation, Bathsheba is brought to him, and “he lay with her” (2 Samuel 11:4), the consequences of which resound in history.

Among the forbidden couples are parent-child, sister-brother, grandparent-grandchild, uncle-niece, aunt-nephew, and between half siblings and certain close in-laws. This "Levitical law" is found in Leviticus 18:6-18, supplemented by Leviticus 20:17-21 and Deuteronomy 27:20-23.
“Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. And do not take her granddaughter, whether her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter, and have sexual relations with her. They are close relatives, and this would be a wicked act.
So long as you feel fine sleeping by yourself either in your own house or otherwise and are fine with your mom sleeping by herself, sleeping in the same bed or next to each other has been a normal practice among humans for most of human history.

Biblical references
In the Torah, Reuben is briefly described as having had sexual activity with Bilhah, his stepmother's maid and father's concubine. On his deathbed, Jacob declares that Reuben "will no longer excel, for you went up onto your father's bed, onto my couch and defiled it".
Abraham and Abimelech
Genesis 20:1–16 narrates the story of Abraham emigrating to the southern region of Gerar, whose king is named Abimelech. Abraham states that Sarah, his wife, is really his sister, leading Abimelech to try to take Sarah as a wife; however, God intervened before Abimelech touched Sarah.
Miriam and Aaron were jealous because Moses had two wives and because more of his attention would have been taken by the newly married woman. It is not unusual in an African setting for relatives and friends to be jealous when husbands are too occupied with two or three wives.
The book of Genesis mentions three of Adam and Eve's children: Cain, Abel and Seth. But geneticists, by tracing the DNA patterns found in people throughout the world, have now identified lineages descended from 10 sons of a genetic Adam and 18 daughters of Eve.
According to the aggadic tradition, Lamech took two wives, one for sexual pleasure and the other for procreation. One wife would be in his company adorned like a harlot, and he plied her with a drug that induced barrenness, so that she would not give birth; the other sat alone, like a widow.
“Each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband.
In the first, Matthew quotes Jesus as saying: “It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, except on the grounds of porneia (sexual immorality), makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”
New Testament. Three passages in the pastoral epistles (1Timothy 3:2, 1Timothy 3:12 and Titus 1:6) state that church leaders should be the "husband of one wife." This has been read by some Christian denominations as a prohibition of polygamy.
Jesus states that divorcing a mate on the grounds of immorality frees the offended mate to remarry without committing adultery. Paul upholds the idea of permanency in marriage10, whether it be to a believer or unbeliever, yet gives permission for a believing mate to separate if deserted by an unbeliever.
Though the Bible does not specifically forbid having multiple wives or husbands, it is not God's original plan. The Lord's expectation for marriage is that it be held as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman.
Returning to Matthew, Jesus goes on to say: “whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery” (Matthew 19:9). With this exception, Jesus is making provision for situations where a husband or wife has irretrievably damaged the marriage (at least, potentially).

Sarah. Abraham's wife Sarah is an example of how God keeps his promises: After telling Abraham she would bear a son, despite being barren, Sarah gave birth to Isaac at 90 years old. Sarah in the Bible: "The Lord was attentive to Sarah just as he had said, and the Lord carried out just what he had promised her.
Orpha left and went home, but Ruth refused to leave Naomi. She was determined to care for her mother-in-law. Naomi must have been very caring, set an example of love, and shared her faith in the God of Israel.
